It's weird to see black people accept that different people can be Batman, Spiderman, etc...because of course you have to have a Bruce Wayne or Peter Parker but they are ready to discard T'Challa like he isn't a character that needs to be around.

They already doing multiverse shyt, go pull a T'Challa from another universe.

Lets be honest black people never really cared about Tchalla; they cared about Wakanda and Killmonger.

I think it's possible that BP 2 is set during the five year gap before T'Challa returns.

This. And it "ends" with a CGI Chadwick reappearing at the end after the Avengers undoing of the OG Snap by Thanos.

Hulk, people liked to new guy but norton really sold the stress of being the character. other dude is just happy all the time. to the point the completely wrote out the aspect of hulk getting angry to transform. terrible.

Batman, in same universe each subsequent casting was worse. got it right with Keaton.

i can't think of any cases where in the same continuity recasting actually worked well. you always end up with a passable but inferior version of the original.

Thinking about this further, they never actually showed Shuri die. If I recall correctly, the only evidence we had on screen that she died was a video screen showing her "missing" along with the other snapped victims. Sure she came back through the portal with T'Challa, but not everyone that came through that portal was dead, see Okoye.

So I guess it's possible that they can retcon Shuri's story in the five year gap between Infinity War and End Game, and write that she went underground/off the grid to do black ops shyt with Nakia or whatever, but was around doing shyt, and wasn't a victim of the snap.

Until we hear otherwise, I think it's possible that BP 2 is set during the five year gap before T'Challa returns.

I think the Russo’s confirmed Shuri was dusted off screen in a interview before Endgame. But I guess they could still retcon it since it wasn’t confirmed in film

Maybe they can have her in statis due to injuries from the battle but before she gets placed in their she gives Okoye a program ai with her as a avatar to help rebuild/defend Wakanda

thats one way, my idea is, who was king during that five year absence? they had to have assumed they was dead and made another black panther. what if Akoye or Mbaku took the throne in the meantime? would they just cede it to T'challa when he got back or would he have to challenge for the throne?
I think having him die offscreen in ritual combat after the events of the first movie would be corny though. but that is a logical question.

That sounds like the plot they could use for the film; have it centered around others coming out of the woodwork to jockey for the throne while Okoye tries to maintain order. Possibly have W'kabi break out and challenge for the throne and Okoye and enlists M'Baku to take the challenge where he promises to give back the throne if T'Challa comes back.

Making another BP would be hard since I think they gave the last heart-shaped herb to T'Challa after Killlmonger burned everything.
