They’re better off just ending the series if they won’t recast. Black Panther 2 and 3 without T’Challa simply wouldn’t feel right. He’s always been the main Black Panther and he still had so many interesting stories to tell like his rivalry against Namor/Atlantis, his relationship with Storm and his encounter with the Fantastic Four.

yeah, that creates a case where you dont have to bring anyone back, and just tie in a bad guy from that period.

maybe set it as some Wakandan students being in class and getting a history lesson. Have the movie end in modern times with Namor destroying wakanda.

Y'all really love the idea of Namor fukking up Wakanda:heh:

They are gonna have to retcon and set the movie in the time period during the first snap for this to make sense. But then that will mean no Shuri as well :jbhmm:

Yea I'm starting to think this was about the bag. :jbhmm: @humminbird

Did any brehs here ever watch the show Spartacus? The main actor had cancer after the first season. I think the feeling was he didnt have long to live.

So instead of making a "2nd season" they instead made a prequel/different timeline season. This allowed for them to pump out another season without halting production. It also gave them enough time to find the right actor instead of rushing it for the "2nd season".

Its very possible Feige told Coogler to scrap some things just make it more about Wakanda. Then by 2024 we'll have a new T'Challa in place via multiverse or whatever. Maybe they felt they'd rather rework a script thats going to make bank regardless (in their opinion) than force another actor to play T'Challa in a Covid year.

Bolded is revisionist history aint it?

Iirc, they did a filler 2nd season to give Andy a chance to recover. He didn't recover.

And the new Spartacus never commanded the role the way Andy did. He was always in Andy's shadow and being compared to him.

could be wrong. I know he died in Sept 2011 and the show started up with a new Spartacus in Jan 2012. It seems like the new guy would have been cast/started working well before then.

He wasnt Andy, but I thought he was good as post slave Spartacus:yeshrug:
