They either going to recast him (which they will likely do) or they will have Shuri take the mantle. :stopitslime:
They not gonna recast him this soon. Whenever they reboot the MCU they'll do it. Longshot is with all this multiverse stuff a reboot might be sooner than later though. It's a way to have Ironman Cap and the X-men at the same time in the MCU.

Actors who died before they were scheduled to film a movie or show have usually gotten recasted pretty quickly. Black Panther was originally suppose to film in March 2021 before Boseman died and now it’s been pushed to July which means that they are keeping the original script and going with a recast. They will have to rewrite the script and start the entire production from scratch (which can take up to a year) if they were to go with Shuri taking the mantle.

It will have been close to a year after his death and honestly seeing the man they had to have known something was going on. There might have been a plan B they'd never admit to publicly.

There’s a 70 percent chance that T’Challa will be replaced. Just face it breh.

at first I thought there was no way he is getting recasted this soon ( I still have my doubts) BUT
the fact that they are filming in a few months makes me think Coogler didnt change the script much ( dont script re-writes take alot of time)
:jbhmm:
Also- Disney seems to be going out there way with more Boseman tributes ( I know today would have been his birthday) the cynic in me says they want to promote how important Chadwick is to Disney BUT the show must go on...and these extra tributes are PR moves to soften the blow if they recast

If they were centering it around Shuri becoming Black Panther then not only will the script have to be rewritten but the plot, costumes, character developments and movie locations will need to go through a major readjustment too. It would be too much work and it would definitely take much longer then July to complete. At this point Disney will likely recast the role since the movie was only delayed by four months which suggests that they’re only adding minor changes to the script and it will still largely remain the same.

Breh, these people at Disney get paid a lot of money to "figure it out" lol. If Disney doesn't think the box office will be as big with anybody else, they will 100% go back to Michael B Jordan, mark my words:wow:. They could easily make it to where Killmonger was faking dead, but ends up killing Tchalla while he's holding him. Killmonger was the one who had them destroy the herbs, how do you know he didn't save one for himself:jbhmm:? You are right about him being a maniac though lol,but fukk it then. Take a page out of Lion King and just show us what Pride Rock(Wakanda) looked like while Scar(Killmonger) was in charge. It would be very different, and maybe he would just end up fighting Avengers who are attempting to free the Wakandans from his control. I think you would still keep elements of the Black Panther character who didn't always cooperate with the Avengers, and was pretty stern on locking Wakanda away from outsiders. He simply reverses all that humanitarian shyt Tchalla was on and he is still in a sense the Black Panther. And to top it off if you make it clear he is the villian, you would set it up better for people to root for Shuri to eventually figure out a plan to take over the mantle and take the crown back and get revenge for Tchalla, you could even bring in Storm as a wife if you need more box office:blessed:

They won't go back to Killmonger because they won't put their entire franchise on the back of a villain. It doesn't matter how much he resonated with black people. They would have to change him up first, like they did Loki, but he's dead so.....Secondly, you have white saviors of an independent African nation, and that won't fly with their black audience. And for comic heads, the Avengers don't belong in Wakanda for extended periods of time. Even in the MCU, the time they've been there, they've fukked everything up. And it takes more than 1 movie for Shuri to become a character she never showed any traits of having, which is how she differs in the comics. They tied T'Challa with BP too much for anything other than a recast or T'Challa. He was hinted at already BP before he became king.
