Yes I read the comics. Namor flooded Wakanda and T’Challa fukked him up for it. The only reason he even considered working alongside him again was for the chance of resetting the world utilizing the Infinity Gauntlet and restoring Wakanda to what it had been Pre-flood.

There’s almost zero chance BP2 will feature a UNIVERSE SPANDING threat of the type seen in Secret Wars to make T’Challa team up with Kilmonger. The Dora Milaje alone would revolt.

To be fair I’m not saying that Kilmonger can’t come back (He does so several times in the comics) but I feel if he were it would always be in sole sort of adversarial manner. He WOULD NOT replace T’Challa
No shuri woujd be the black panther( as in the comics ) and he’d be killmonger assisting ala Loki . Also your overthinking it , it’s really more of a stretch to think that they can’t write a story where shuri reluctantly teams with killmonger as opposed to trying to recast Chadwick for filling in 6 months ? They been hinting at namor and after the infinity war Atlantis could be upset and start flooding cities. They can easily say the snap accidentally revived him or something. I’m just saying it wouldn’t be harder then recasting . I believe they are just going to go with Shuri tbh but this is more likely than recasting Chadwick so quickly to me

No offense but do you read the comics ? Do you know what namor does to wakanda? He does waaaay worse things .and if the rumored storyline of that being how
T’Challa is killed by Atlantis flooding or attacking wakanda
And again it’s a common comic book trope of villain working with hero for common enemy such as Loki and Thor . I

This really isn’t analogous to the comics. Mcu kill monger and Shuri is very different and your just assuming when it comes namor.

Thats not how it works breh

Kebin Feige and company plan these movies YEARS in advance. Yes BP came out in February but you have to take into account the time it takes to do press (Marvel had Chadwick and the gang promoting BP well into the summer of 2018 across different countries) write scripts (Coogler wasn’t officially announced to return until late 2018 and he’s the cowriter and director) and prep. Prep for movies like BP which is part of a 22 film (and counting) franchise is a MASSIVE undertaking, and thats not even including the post production work that Chadwick, Danai, and Winston had to do on a tiny film called Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

All things told. It would have been virtually IMPOSSIBLE to have a Black Panther movie ready to begin filming any sooner than late this year, and even then Corona would have fukked that up

You hate black men T'challa was the only black male character

First off, he wasn’t the only black male character

Secondly , I loved Boseman as Panther, and I rather not fukk with something once its done right.

Its the same way I feel about Christopher Reeves’ Superman, or Bale’s Batman, or Ledger’s Joker, or Evans’ Cap.

Not saying it should never be recast ever, but I’d hope when they do they recast all the roles and just start over again..

Its crazy that i’m the one explaining this but representation is important.

Shuri as BP makes no sense to me. She is a totally different character in the movies than she is in the comics. Why didnt she try to become BP or regain the throne when they thought tchalla died in the first movie? Her own mother didnt think to give the herb to her and she didnt even hint at taking it.

Lastly tchalla is Black Panther yea she had a brief period where she took over but tchalla has been been black panther since the beginning 99% of the time. You cant have black panther for extended period of time without tchalla. She can be BP latter down the line with a character adjustment or as he ages and no longer wants to or can be BP. Which there is a comic on that.

Recast will be emotional and tough at first but we will eventually move on(with the character not Boseman's passing).

T'challa is the only good black man in the entire black panther franchise literary ever other super character is a black women. The other black males are villains or elderly side characters they have yet to create any new black males In marvel and DC there is no one to pass the mantle too.

shyt was a red flag to me so I saw this coming, what if t'challa was removed, what other black males were there? Or who will be Shuri's love interest? In the comics it was some random ass Australian aboriginal, that told me they didn't want to create any more black males for the franchise which was fukked up as there was only 1, and lore breaking. How Tchalla is forced to pick a wakandan but Shuri could date who ever she wants?

Also shuri and okoye was created to nerf T'challa now that T'challa is gone are they going to have Shuri be smart and skilled in combat? It was bad for Tchalla but now it's okay for Shuri?

You bring up representation yet you don't understand what it means. Black boys have no positive representation in anything that is fukked up. Keyword here is positive. Not lame ass side characters or emasculated side kicks. Someone to actually look up to.

This is what pissed me off about black feminists they are selfish as hell. nikkas need to stop feeding them, they are already fed at this point there just greedy.

I'm fukking sick of thug culture being unchallenged.

I agree. This iteration of Shuri has been shown as just a scrawny brainy jokester. Nothing Black Panther about her. No fighting skills outside of shooting with those arm lasers. And to me she even looked low key out of place on that battlefield in Endgame

I’m not here to debate the quality of character, because you’re right on that aspect.

again, personally I would of rather of had Chadwick play T’Challa for as long as he intended too. But when things like this happen its best not to force anything. The situation is shytty, and i’m not going to knock Marvel either direction they take.

but any other actor is going to be forced and its not going to be natural. They have an opportunity to create something great out of a tragedy. It’d be stupid to pass it up. It doesn’t lessen his significance if they move on from him in some way.

There are so many other male black characters they are/can pull from that haven’t been touched yet for the MCU. I get that this is the black Superman and he’s an important character and it sucks because he really brought that world to life. But at the end of the day having someone take up the mantle like that so soon is disrespectful and a recipe for a mess.
