i still think there's a strong case it's this if they don't recast. She's the biggest actor in the universe with the most irrelevant role. She felt mildly wasted in the first movie.

with that said though, we're moving into a "phase" with a female Thor, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, She-hulk, Angelina and Salma Hayek probably being the leaders of Eternals, Wasp, etc.... they're not exactly hurting for female led properties.

Yeah, I heard this from you first and you're right. They are not going to find a male replacement for Chadwick who is more accomplished than Lupita. She's already in place not doing much so use her.
I think they should introduce a new Black male into the franchise and then not reveal who the next BP is. You have to go to the movie to find out. At the climax of BP 2 Nakia dons the suit to save the day.

If you're gonna recast with a different interpretation of an already established character it won't look right.

The only they Marvel did it was with Banner, but that was early in the MCU, and that character wasnt fully established.

And you can say they recast Thanos as well but they was CGI.

Doing something like that won't work with this character.


The film is gonna do numbers regardless if they recast or not, but recasting would be a lazy move.

T'Challa just got introduced into the MCU, no reason to kill him off

plus they need to reboot the entire thing anyway

my point is Boseman didn't have some iconic performance as black panther, anybody will be able to step into that role

if Robert jr died after Iron Man 2, it would've been hard to replace Tony Stark in the MCU because he was basically playing himself and he defined the character

it's not the case with T'Challa, its fukked up he died when he did, but people will be over it by the time black panther 2 comes out

Shuri being black panther is wack, it was wack in the comics not every wack idea from the comics needs to show up in the movies

its a pure agenda base

would you go a see batman movie where bruce wayne is dead and barbara gordon becomes batman lamo

Another thing about Nakia/Lupita in BP she was on the right side of important issues. She advocated for Wakandan helping Black people across the globe in a non-confrontational manner before Killmonger even arrived. And when it seemed BP was dead under that surprise/pressure she reacted the best and took the best course of action immediately after. She showed she's a leader in BP 1.

There’s ZERO chance they would have time to rewrite the script and make it work to the point they would be ready to film in July. Meaning that they are most likely utilizing the script that Coogler already wrote, which of course would be T’Challa focused.


If thats the case then T’Challa being recast makes the most sense. And quiet as kept it ALWAYS did make the most sense.

Which consisted of a 2 minute cameo in one movie... and a 10 minute cameo in another movie..

That's not a strong case to make for waiting another 15 years (because they ain't rebooting anytime soon) before we see T'Challa again.

his father got killed off who was BP before him. What difference does it make. If they recast and the actor don’t nail it, it will be a distraction. The MCU has already moved on from RDJ, Chris Evans, and Johannson. It won’t be as big of a deal by the time the trailer drops. As long as the story is dope that’s all that matters.


The only thing that would be WRONG is if they cheap out on the CGI for this movie. The budget has to be bigger.

T'chaka died to advance T'Challa's story I would even argue temporarily making Shuri BP was to do the same

Black Panther has = T'challa for 98% of the characters existence. People bringing up Shuri have clearly not even read those comics

I don't honestly think I will watch if they have any other than T challa as BP. They need to recast imo. Tchalla the character should be able to get a solo trilogy before passing the mantle to another character is even thought of. And I'm sorry but there would be absolutely nothing they could do to convince me to buy into MCU Shuri at this current time as BP.

Yea i ain't watching it if they pull that. Not wishing it on anybody but if Tom Holland died, they'd give him his due sure... but best believe they ain't going more than 2-3 years tops without another Peter Parker... even if it meant pulling some ol multiverse spideriverse shyt out they ass
