So basically this about Shuri being a woman? Because they have to replace the actor regardless, and writing him out of continuity honorably and replacing him another, or just recasting him and continuing like nothing happen with still maintain the significance of having the hero either way.
Both ways will be a new actor and new take on the character. The end result is exactly the same. So we've finally figure out the root issue here. Ya'll are really just saying forget chadwick because you don't want a female black panther.

This is not about black women having representation in superhero films.

IMO, Twitter is uncomfortable with a black man as the leader of the fictional black utopia.

We were supposed to be getting more black movies after supporting BP and If Twitter really cared about black female superhero representation they'd be asking for a Shuri or Okoye/Naki spin off franchise or a Monica Rambuo movie. There is no need to kill off Tchalla or strip away his title in order to bring black women into the MCU.

Instead they're asking for T'challa to be killed off so that Shuri can take over as BP, they have been doing so since before Chadwick died.

Yeah but they didn’t recast Joker. I personally would feel weird watching another person play T’Challa.

They didn’t need Joker again....the parts that they were saving for part 3 of the dark knight series they put into the dark knight....(joker creating two face, etc) besides in that continuity The Joker is confined to Arkham Asylum as the only inmate after the Dark Knight

That's so dumb, did anyone forget toby McGuire played spider because tom Holland is the current spiderman.

T"challa existed long before Chadwick.

I don’t suspect we’ll have any official update until 2021.

My money is on a recast. T’Challa as a CHARACTER is bigger and more important than one actor (RIP Chadwick) and everyone within the MCU understands that. From all sources it seems that Feige had big plans for T’Challa going forward and I highly doubt all of that gets thrown out the window. Besides that 90% of the cannon comic material that they draw the movies from is T’Challa related (as i’ve said before Shuri was only BP for a very short time and even then T’Challa was around as the “King Of The Dead”
For A lot of THAT run as well)

This is not saying that Shuri couldn’t or shouldn’t be BP down the line. But for the direct sequel it would be too soon and I can almost guarantee it would feel forced given that The MCU Shuri is more the Q to T’Challa’s Bond.

And any thoughts of having Kilmonger take over is complete nonsense. Let that go it’ll NEVER happen.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
He would be a dope choice.

I think he’s like a super obvious choice. He’s a great young actor. He worked with Chadwick and knew him personally. He’d understand the reverence for the man and character firsthand: the physique, acting chops, dark skinned since that matters, evidently.

Cast breh already. :wow:

I didn't know him by name but once I googled Stephan James...

Hell yea!

I first noticed him in 21 Bridges, which was Chadwick starring in a call back to those mid-2000s one off Denzel flicks meant for actors to act and a swerve mid-story. Stephan and Chad had a great sequence and scene towards the end with some great acting chops.

T'Challa is worthy

The BP on the far right is Bashenga, the first Black Panther who you guys saw in the intro sequence to the movie

We shouldn't be denied future badassery like this
