Trae gonna be fine. He has excellent 1v1 skills, great at passing and can shoot occasionally which can of course improve. Luka is better right now. He is a more polished player but both look damn good as rookies.
Luka got Barnes back and that helped him a lot. Trae should benefit the same from Collins who's currently out. Running PnRs with non PnR players or scrubs just ain't the business

Luka is currently in a better situation. Since Barnes came back teams stop doubling Luka. Teams like Philly and Chicago gameplan around Trae. Once we have our roll man and #1 option back in Collins, we shall see. Teams have forced Trae to play without the ball.
I like both players but this whole hater ball is ain't the business. The kid is playing well.
I knew Luka was going to be straight. Defense was my only concern, but defense is overated. He too crafty, he just continue to get his offensively. Yeah he slow, but that handle and craftyness suffices.
He just had a 30+ point game at 19 years old, creating buckets for himself all over the floor. I think it's safe to say he's not going to be a bust. The only possible way @staticshock can come out of this with some sort of a W is if Trae turns into a superstar.
We saw Trae drop 35 and 11. Last night, he got the looks he wanted and still had 8 assists and 0 turnovers while players fukked up about 8 potential assists with bricks and butterfingers. We aren't that talented around Trae especially with Collins being out. Yall gotta stop this bullshyt and I like Luka. I fukk with him
He is exceptionally skilled. His ball handling is better than advertised and he is an excellent 1v1 player.
He is just as athletic as Nash. He doesn't have to be Curry. But that does mean he has to be that much better on the ball because of his athletic shortcomings. Defensively he doesn't suck as bad as I saw during the summer league. I really think thats because his has good lateral quickness and quick hands but his wingspan makes it hard for him to guard bigger wing players.
For him, having that roll man is critical
