it doesn't make any sense. All this goofy sons of Adam shyt and them having a new monster of the week every episode. What is the show trying to be? The best and scariest parts of the show are the racism. The horror and sci fi elements are terrible and take me out of the show.

I'm not really getting this. If the show is successful then it will do more than anything to cement the cultural image of Lovecraft as a racist. And he's dead, it's not like you can hurt his pockets. So what better way to call attention to his racism?

This why game of thrones didn't start off with dragons, they like the political theatre, then came the dragons, lovecraft country starting off with the dragons and they hate the shiet

From what I've seen in these 3 episodes, yes there is an overarching story they are building towards but beyond that it is 'monsters' and the monsters encountered in life... It's drawing attention to historical figures and historical racist injustices and also referencing the shyt that's still goin on today like you seen with freddie gray

it remind me a bit of that first scene in WATCHMEN cacs like to forget what happened in Tulsa.. yes all this shyt happened..
