Its about a 7.5/10 for this show, but I'm a bit upset cause the show should be about a 9 or 9.5 scale.

As a said with Underground....Its a Misha issue. She's rather make entertaining good than consistently great. Happy for the show, but it could have been another level.

Speaking of Underground...think of that show compared to the craft of this trailer from Barry Jenkins.




The craft looks on another level.

MIsha had HBO money/backing she should have have had Lovecraft's pacing/cinematography/story points all on point. Somehow Lovecraft for as good as it is...didnt feel like the normal HBO show in terms of those things.

The actors just carried the hell out of it and its cool to see something new with black leads.

That’s not fair to Misha. There’s a lane for both of them, but Jenkins is by far a more adept storyteller. He’s becoming an auteur. Besides that he’s a FSU breh so of course he will have a leg up.

I'm just starting to catch up on Fargo. For a series set in the same time period, I think they handle music so much better.

I didn't even think like that early in my career. I showed up to Sons of Anarchy, like, "I'm writing on my favorite new show of last season and I get my own office? This is amazing." I try to hold on to that feeling every time because it's so easy to lose the joy in this business. Forget all the bullshyt. Focus on getting to create this thing that someone is going to watch and maybe feel like I did when I was 15 — watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer in my room, thinking, "This is fukkin' amazing."

For Tic to simply walk away unscathed while everyone around him suffered would put him closer to the white people in the story who walked over others to get what they want.
