I just know it's a strong narrative in real life that strong blacks fathers aren't around, why not use this platform to change that?

If you want black characters leading stories then sometimes they will be bad, good, problematic, live, die.

You don’t see Jor-el die to save his only son and think he’s a b—-ch character.

Thomas Wayne, Uncle Ben. Strong characters whose deaths are central to their child’s/ nephew’s development.

This show started up being great and ended up being trash

HBO budget but sci-fi channel quality show

I Marc Jackson on ESPN was talking about the show during a game last month. And he was like I’m 3/4 episodes in and I have no idea what this show is about. But I’ll see how it goes

I enjoyed the series, but the ending was incredibly rushed. They should have stretched this out to maybe 3-5 more episodes to show/give more details and explanations. I doubt there will be a second season. If there is, it would probably be Westworld Season 3 levels bad.

Not to mention the "gas leak" that killed beaucoup cops in the middle of the street
With the exception of Leti this show has no rewatch value imo
Seems like everybody that read the book was upset as well.
