I enjoyed the series, but the ending was incredibly rushed. They should have stretched this out to maybe 3-5 more episodes to show/give more details and explanations. I doubt there will be a second season. If there is, it would probably be Westworld Season 3 levels bad.
If anything they needed to tighten stuff up.

The whole Native American girl could have been dropped. It went nowhere. Really that whole ep should have been rewritten

Montrose should have just revealed everything in one episode instead of stretching his secrets out over three eps.Who his father was didn’t matter. It was Montrose behavior that mattered

Nah, this had black feminist twitter written all over it.

Lmao

They’ve been on this show since they killed that intersex native.

It’s funny how women and black Twitter go after Hollywood cis men for how they write gay characters and when given the chance they end up fumbling the same bag.

No Whammies!!
I learned from Peaky Blinders and Warrior, on Cinemax, that only rock and roll can be played in a different era TV show. It doesn’t work with rap.

I think I would generalize it and say you can make modern instrumental music work in historical shows, but not modern vocals.

So Spartacus can have "heavy metal"-style guitars, but having Metallica scream over gladiator fighting would have been extra stupid.

As for this show, my impression was that someone said "let's take these stories by a horrible racist and turn them into something that we would consider positive!"

Problem is, the original stories were never positive about ANYONE, so making them positive just made it a kind of a generic "good vs evil" story.

Could you make a "feel good" story in the Aliens universe?

I guess the idea was that she was being attacked by demonic stereotypes. The "Cream of Wheat" logo guy was also looking at her funny.

Revisiting this.

It was WAY too "on the nose" that the girl was literally transformed into a "minstrel show" stereotype, then knowledge and education turned her into a superhero.

Lol...the power of READING!

Where are you getting a good vs evil story?

Christina never had any ambition to harm anyone else for any reason except gaining immortality. She didn't even really want to bust up the Ardam frat except for the fact they kept her out.

Damn I don't know what to say. This shyt was terrible.
The whole entire season went from high highs to low lows.
My favorite episodes were the 1st one and the one with Ji-Ah
Don't even know if I want a second season TBH
