I can accept the covid argument but I felt like a lot of the social/race related dialogue was really stilted or not well done.
People will pretend as if Falcon was the best television they ever seen because they want to support black TV and black oriented shows. I get it. But if I'm being real, the writing was terrible on that show SPECIFICALLY when it came to the justice/racism/social issues part. It was forced. The only scene i really felt was the old breh who had been experimented on. He was a great actor and pulled that scene off well.
Everything else? Nah it was basuras. And part of it is because Mackie just ain't a good actor and then the other part is that trying to pigeonhole a whole 400 years worth of social commentary and issues into a comic book show has to be exceptionally done or it shouldn't be done at all.
And it DEFINITELY was NOT exceptionally done. I found myself more annoyed with it than anything because it just was terrible and preachy.
When you speak on black ppls issues in entertainment, you have to do it right. And if you aint gon do it right, it's best to leave it alone.
