They had a screening of Logan at the Los Angeles film school the other day + the Q&A podcast with Jeff Goldsmith afterwards and it's pretty fascinating as Mangold pretty much shyts on the MCU and the idea of interconnected movies and anything canon throughout

Watched it again tonight. 
Just a masterpiece
Mangold will definitely have a longer leash after this one. You could tell with the wolverine he was still fighting studio notes and directions.

Oh this thread was upped due to the pending Fox/Disney deal. They fear the fate of the rated R comic book movie franchises they like may lie with Disney and Disney alone makes some people.
So although not immediately apparent the most recent compliments for the movie and then pointing out the director doesn't like the MCU are really a result of the fear of it winding up in Disney hands. It is pretty funny.
The director just had this Q&A on Friday. So that's why we're bringing up.
