:snoop:

And again, "Robocop" had a cartoon ass plot.

The main problem isn't the violence, the main problem is the average 6-8 year old isn't going to get what's going on with Logan and/or Professor X. And probably doesn't want to see Wolverine as a bum and Prof X as a crazy old man. Not to mention how it all ends.

The last big fight aside this is probably the least comic book, comic book movie in history. If you'd take your kid to go see a serious R rated drama, take them to this. If not, then don't.

Fred.
Cartoon ass plot with drug use, Cutting dude in half. Blood leaking out peoples necks, exploding bodys, attempted rapes, skeletons, etc

Logan is a cartoon ass plot too. Get kids with super powers to canada. Its not that deep fred. Acting like its a serious drama piece. Its a superhero movie with ruff edges. I think an 8 yr old could understand that wolverines beat up n professor x is old... the govt is after them. Basic ass plot premise

MK is cartoonish as hell breh. It's supposed to be, that's the point.
But wolverine isn't
:mjlol:

Mortal kombat had them trying to ban violent games
:hhh:

I don't see how something like Rambo or robocop is cartoony but this comic book movie isn't

Not at all to me. MK is meant to be satire. Parents wanted it banned because parents are parents. That's what they do. They're worried about kids repeating what they see in tv or film or games. Same reason they had/have a problem with pro wrestling. But the video game always played it with a wink, as did robocop which is meant to be satirical, just like mortal kombat. Logan isn't trying to be a satire at all so the violence isn't played with any sort of a wink at all.

Breh, your talking about a movie where people have super powers and claws coming out their hands, on a mission to save "mutants" being taken too seriously compared to a movie with real life concept's like dealing drugs and gang violence.

:hhh:

Wolverine the comic book character will not have kids wanting to chop people up anymore than batman making kids dress in a batsuit to beat people's asses

8 years is old enough to know that wolverine is a comic book character.

Yeah I am because James Mangold clearly played the shyt straight. There's no in jokes to let the audience know this is all for fun. The violence registers on characters when it happens, and there are no digs at movie violence or excess or any of the things Verhoven wanted to take shots at with Robocop. So he put humor in it and over the top violence (like MK) to allow the audience to laugh at it because of how ridiculous it was. Same thing he did with Starship Troopers...same thing he should've did with Showgirls

Great movie, but it was depressing as fukk. Especially when we finally learn what happened to the X-Men.

Accidentally killed by their own founder. :sadcam: :sadcam: :sadcam:
But what happened to the rest of the mutants? Went into hiding and killed by the government? I wish they would've put that scene into the institute in the movie as a flashback; wouldve been intense

Didn't like the first trailer but the ones after and the reviews got me interested. Never saw the previous ones but man..this might be the best comic book movie. :wow: even though the deaths had already been spoiled for me I was still at the edge of my seat and the gore :damn: had me holding body parts and shyt :russ:

From what I got from the movie, all the mutants were sick and dying, probably due to a virus. I remember them taking medicine, or maybe that was for professior x

Like I said, kids these days are babied. Logan was not so grounded in reality that an 8 year old couldn't handle the concepts. Even of you think robocop was over the top, the terminator wasnt, alien wasn't satire. There are plenty of examples of violent movies we all watched as kids.

At the end of the day this is a comic book movie with a very comic book plot. You dudes are acting like it's city of God or something too much for an 8 year old.

Any parent taking their 8 year old to this is an idiot I'm sorry

This is not a kids film. It's extremely violent, dark, depressing, nihilistic.

Most of the film is going to go over an 8 year Olds head. And what doesn't is probably going to disturb that kid.

It's like showing fight club to an 8 year old.

I cringe so hard when I see parents taking kids to films that they have no business seeing. Horrible parenting.

It's not about babying kids or whatever nonsense yall are spewing. It's about realizing that someone that young can't process the themes of a film like this.

By the sounds of it you yourselves couldn't even process it.

Just Xaviers stuff alone is going to have your kids asking if that's going to happen to grandpa and shyt. If you feel you want to lay those burdens on a kids mind then there's something wrong with your mental make up.
