I was pimping for Simmons early on last year because the defense DESPERATELY needed a ILB who can cover tight ends. Remember we play Kettle twice a year and TE’s burn us for the most yards last year. Simmons was touted as versatile, athletic, and a cerebral player in the mold of DWash. He played most of his snaps in college as a ILB

The real reason why he’s not sniffing the field because FA pickup Campbell is on FIRE the first two games and Reddikk has seem to found a niche as a OLB. I also like how TE’s aren’t burning us like last year
