This. He isn’t good, but he’s still above average, which says more about the state of the QB position than anything.

Even if they had the #1 pick, there’s like a 50% chance that guy will end up better than what Kyler is.

Yeah, Arizona has lowkey been “spoiled” the last two decades with at least having decent to tremendous QB play.

If you think it can’t get worse, look at Cleveland, Jacksonville, etc. If the QB to draw the most hype in your franchise’s history is current Trevor Lawrence, that’s a level of QB struggle and drama Arizona fans know nothing about. It took nearly 30 years to get to the point they think they got “their QB” and it’s Trevor Lawrence.

I looked up Kyler's contract. The Cards don't have a potential out with Kyler until 2028. Its 3 more yrs with him or get hit with 45m dead cap.

It’s like those 80s and 90s teams stuck with bad QBs for 5-10 years. Like Dave Kreig in Seattle.
