If Shaq would have stayed on the Lakers until around 2007-2008 when he started to decline he would have nearly the same all star selections, all-nba selections and defensive selections. Lets not act like Tobe's last few selections haven't been based on popularity. Shaq was the driving force to three rings (3 Finals MVPS) and has a RS MVP. You're missing the fact that Shaq isnt even a top 3 Laker of all-time. Those spots belong to Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, and KAJ.
You're hypothetically giving Shaq stats/awards/accolades that he never accumulated while donning the Purple & Gold by talking about "if".
Kobe's a MUCH greater Laker than Shaq was....easily. The facts dont lie. How are you gonna say the player who won less Championships, made less ASGs, less All-NBA Teams, less All-Defense teams, is better than a person who accomplished much more in a Lakers uniform?
