yeah Dr.Wu is up to some sh1t, dont know if they set him up for a heel turn or what. Vincent D'nofrio's character was alot like the kingpin, he thought he was doing the world good by sending raptors into battle instead of soldiers, whereas kingping goes off like a pissed off child at daredevil because he didnt see it his way by wanting to rebuild hells kitchen.

Btw I was watching part 1, when lex finally activates the locks and they put out the raptor, then it comes at them through the glass was Hammond Screaming at Grant because he was going to kill the raptor or was he screaming because of his grandkids? Just wondering because in the novel, Hammond is an evil b*stard, in the movie hes the exact oposite however their does seem to be something shady about him, especially when they suggest activating the poison in the animals.

anyone see Ian's book on the nerdy guys desk?

Oh yeah the second movie is more like a remake to the 1925 stop motion animated movie "The Lost World" which inspired the cinema dino craze that eventually happened in king kong

I thought that asian was the wannabe yakuza from tokyo drift and i was right

Saw it twice, once for dolo and then with the lady. Powerful movie and I don't understand the flack from critics, this isn't the Godfather series, nor does it take itself that seriously and Dr. Wu and Masrani have a pretty big conversation indicating as such. The director and writers really respected the mythos and I loved the little nods it made to the original: The old visitors center, gas-powered jeeps, the goat, that tech with the original JP shirt off e-bay....even for OG JP readers of the book, they actually blew up a raptor with an RPG!!!

I thought I would hate the kids, but it was a good mix, a jaded and angst-ridden teen and a young quirky and intuitive pre-teen, it worked from the Layperson angle pretty well as they traversed the park. I don't know what people wanted from JP characters, but they grew to be likeable more than any of the people from part 2 (except Roland Tembo) and part 3, even Hoskins (D'Onforio) was likeable (although a bit crazy).

So we had great action, good characters, great special effects and a dark humor element to it, I'd say it respects the original and could end here as the final chapter in the series (though I doubt it), but on a high-note....

What I found funny is that they ripped the Asset Recovery Team going after the iRex scene right from Aliens, right down to the military music and the and the animal expert warning them not to attack them without being heavily armed....

The marketers are geniuses....dinosaurs appeal to all ages and demographics, and the kids who saw the first JP are probably parents now and will see the film with their kids and maybe even bring newly made Grandpa and Grandma to see it too....That's three generations going to the theaters....$$$ in the bank...

But this isn't going to be touching SW by a long shot....

They killed this. Ignore my comments in the earlier threads. Might even rewatch this piff. I do wish there were more dark scenes but I can't complain. The mix of humor, action, tense scenes was great.

OMG, I got finished watching this movie and it was INCREDIBLE:banderas::ohlawd::krs::wow:

Multiple easter eggs paying homage to the first movie :wow:

When Rex/Raptor hybrid ran into the bird cage, and all the drama that happened afterwards :dead:

Brehs, I legit marked out when the T Rex came out at the end, I was cheering at my computer screen like it was a sporting event :ohlawd:

That WWE style fukkery with all the Dinosuars at the end :russ:

Seeing the Rex overlooking the Ocean to close out the movie :mjcry:

I love these Jurassic Park movies man, felt like a kid again watching this flick:mjcry:

No, OG Rex deserved reinforcements cause Indominhulk Rex was like a Matrix Dino and sh!t with what it could do.

Did you see how it took down that Ankylosaurus? It took one shot to the face from its heavy-tail and it didn't phase her one bit....and killed it..

So what happened to that other island from part 2? Site B?
At the beginning of JP3 it says "Restricted Area" and the cast of that movie ignored the rules so its probably left untouched by humans and dinosaurs probably still live there :ld:

With all these PETA groups and such I doubt IGen could drop a nuke on Site B without extreme backlash :manny:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I hope it beats out avengers, one less thing for these marvel stans to claim :heh:

Years been crazy though. There is a legit chance that ultron could finish with 1.4 billion and only be the 4th highest grossing film of this year.

We legitcould have 5 or 6 films make a billion this year :ohhh:

Actually Peter Quill aka Starlord was in it and one of the main reasons why the movie was dope :umad:
