Anyone who doubted Jurassic World LAUCE big time!
Again, I already said I truly think the one sport in this country (america) is football. I'm not saying basketball isn't a big deal but football is THE big deal. It's still the ratings king, still the thing that moves the most units, shuts the most blocks down, keeps the most people in doors and away from movie theaters. There's a reason people won't schedule big movie releases around the super bowl but could give a fukk about the NBA finals
I dont think anyone is arguing with you that football is king, but you just said DVR the Finals as if LeBron James isnt a household name. If it was the Spurs and Hawks Finals you would have something, but not in this case.
I guess I'm also thinking I'd rather see jurassic world than that but that's me. I love the NBA but I don't see it being bigger than a big time movie
the movie isn't going anywhere but the finals are. Only 3 games left. Plus if someone is a big jp fan they had Thursday night all of Friday Saturday and half of sunday to see it before the game
we used to always go Friday night when i was a kid. most people with kids that I know I saw on Facebook seemed to see this on Friday as well I guess it all dependsUnless you're a family man or family woman and you need something to do on a sunday night. we're thinking like cats without families or other responsibilities but i know when i was a kid, as a family we'd always go to the movies on a sunday

On a Sunday night at 8pm? Families kill the movies on Sundays during the day after church. Nights are when single people from 18-35 go to the movies. The prime demographic that will be watching the Finals or Game of Thrones.
Idk if I would say that. Truth be told, Bryce Dallas Howard did most of the heavy lifting in the movie. She got most of the screen time, she got most of the "big" moments, and she's the only character in the movie who had an arc. Pratt was awesome awesome awesome as the han solo indiana jones type, but I think she carried the movie and he was along for the ride
Thinking more on it you're right. But Pratt was certainly the more relatable/likable character.
Dvr a fukking finals game *negged*Exactly. People like being a part of a cultural moment and on the real, you can always DVR game 5 and game of thrones. And if not, you can catch the highlights of the game or catch the game of thrones finale online tomorrow. Now if we were talking about the super bowl, that'd be a different story

Anyway this movie had my heart pounding for an hour straight
