A very well done movie
Thats a brilliant doom ideaThought this was a cool interview/conversation with the director. Touched on politics, the challenge of making a movie about black radical politics, what it means for black actor to have name recognition vs. a white actor having value. And he even talked some hip hop, including a wild idea for an MF Doom documentary:

Gotta give him extra props for bringing an intelligent, masculine, unapologetically black historical figure to screen and being recognized with major accolades for it
I couldn't watch that part, had to turn my head away. It felt like "trauma porn" to me. Don't get me wrong, I get why the scene is here and I'm not saying it shouldn't be present, but I just couldn't inflict this on myself.
