The only reason this movie got made was because they attached the Joker character.
just finished seeing it. Story was empty to me, basically pick a school shooter manifesto and add some dialogue. Acting was cool, as were the ties to Batman. Besides that, nothing special.
The white male propaganda was very blatantthat final dialogue about what’s funny and acceptable and whats not was supposed to be a middle finger to SJWs and “snowflakes”. I liked Joaquin Phoenix but he wasn’t given much to work with.

Neglect of what? He was a weirdo, which is why he didn’t have any friends. He wasn’t getting beat up for the sake of being beat up; he was a freak. They spent 2 minutes explaining his mother was crazy, and then he smothered her with a pillow.This film did nothing to make me feel the plight of mental health because it wasn’t sincere. It was a plot device.

The whole “is this really happening or is it a dream?” Approach is something you can do with damn near every movie if you wanted to. People did the same thing with The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, etc.
