Watched this yesterday, fell asleep during part of it for about 45 mins but I'm cool on it - Joaquin did a good job, sad part about the Wayne family playing Penny like that and having her committed.

I mean sure lol. I’m not wedded to any interpretation of the flick for real. Made little sense for him to imagine anything he imagined but he’s a sociopath and a narcissist with delusions of grandeur.
Because every interpretation has their own thing. And own motivations. I have my favorite bond but I’m done comparing them because I’ve realized they each have their purpose and point of view on the material. Some stuff should just be left as is and in a vacuum. Roger Moore deliberately went against Sean Connery because he wanted to do his own thing. And Timothy dalton did the same for Moore. Pierce had his view and Daniel has his. Ultimately, it all comes down to which interpretation you prefer and which speaks to you. There are several jokers and each of us will have a favorite but that favorite is based on us as people and nothing else really.Why wouldn't people compare actors that played the same character

After joker got arrested for killing blank. The whole city is in riot by violent protesters in clown masks. We see Thomas Wayne, his wife and Bruce Wayne walk out a movie theater and dodging protestors in the sidewalk. One protester follows them in to an alley. He calls out Thomas Wayne while pointing a gun. Thomas Wayne turns around and begs for his life. Clown shoots him and then the wife as he rips off her pearl necklace. Clown spares Bruce and walks away.

Mf always think they got shyt figured out and can never give something a chance. I'm not a comic book guy but I don't think it's hard to understand this is a modernized spin.

I agree with the narrator; however, there is a part of me that thinks that's just wishful thinking on my fandom of the character. I really wish the movie was ended 10-15 years in future with Joker in Arkham and Gordon or Batman making a comment on how the "Arthur" story was for the most part fabricated or does not line up.
I wonder if the sign being stolen or not from the beginning of the movie was intentional for false narration
