I wish people would stop trying to compare the Joker performances. Each movie is different and required a different take from the actors.

I don’t even know why people are shytting on Leto. His performance wasn’t bad, that movie was just trash. Throw Phoenix in that movie and he’d look bad too.

It’s a good movie. I still think it originally wasn’t written to be about the joker. I think it was changed because someone at Warner was smart enough to turn it into a Joker prequel after Suicide Squad was panned. “Call the city Gotham. Throw in the Wayne family”. I’m more annoyed that instead of fixing their DC universe, they give up on it and make a non canon movie just to try to snag another Oscar

Didn’t they kick Ayer out of the editing room and hired a company that does trailers to put the film together?

They would’ve cut out a lot of Joaquin’s shyt and edited stuff to show he cared about Harley like they did Leto.

Basically. They wanted SS to be their Guardians of the Galaxy and edited the shyt out of it to fit that. Part of me still believes there an amazing cut of that movie on an editing room floor somewhere but we’ll never know

I feel like every scenario was told from the perspective of someone who has no connection with reality...

The movie is disturbing.

I will never recommend this movie to anyone.

There was a dude on here who saw a test screening and said it was a completely different movie compared to what we all saw

Just left. Movie was cool. I prefer Ledger’s performance better tho. Only because I prefer Joker when he’s already in villain mode and bringing chaos to Batman’s world.

This movie probably could’ve worked without having any ties to DC. It’s just a story of a dude who hits his breaking point. All the other stuff is secondary

The only reason this movie got made was because they attached the Joker character.

just finished seeing it. Story was empty to me, basically pick a school shooter manifesto and add some dialogue. Acting was cool, as were the ties to Batman. Besides that, nothing special.

The white male propaganda was very blatant that final dialogue about what’s funny and acceptable and whats not was supposed to be a middle finger to SJWs and “snowflakes”. I liked Joaquin Phoenix but he wasn’t given much to work with.

The stuffy San Fran crowd I viewed with sucked because there were a few moments where I laughed and I was the only one laughing... For example

The little collar pop he did after blowing Robert Dinero's brains out was legit hilarious

We both must be 2 crazy muthafukaz...
That collar flip and two step after he popped ole makes me smile, cringe, laugh. love that part everytime....

Those who say there are better performances than Joaquins name them.

Bear in mind, Joaquin showed a wide range of emotions in his performance

If your choice lacks this then Im gonna tell u to gtfoh

Popular performances like alonzo in training day and vito corleone are automatically disregarded for this reason

What range? Acting “crazy” isn’t “emotion.” He did a fine job, but I never once felt he was genuinely angry, sad, or happy in the movie. He was just “there.”

Is JOAQUIN’s shoulder fukked up like that in real life? Brehs shyt was looking dislocated.

How was Joker able to ask for his mom’s medical records in the first place? It doesn’t work like that.

Why the fukk was young Bruce by himself and letting a strange man put his hands in his mouth?

I noticed his shoulder being bad in the mokumentary he made back in 2010...

he probably has scoliosis and the top of his spine is curved like a backward S which causes his right scapula to poke out.
