Just got out of the theater. This Joker has no fukking business going up against the Bat :russ:
He is going to have a 15 year head start on him. Bruce is about 10. Also he was embracing his role. He saw he could have people do whatever he wanted. At the very end , he escapes from Arkham.

How is he an incel when he was out and about and not in the apartment mad at the world? Just got treated like shyt that pushed him to the edg. I swear a phrase goes mainstream and just used loosely
He’s not an incel at all he’s a person with mental health issues who was ignored and put to the side .
To me it’s also kind of a trump parable . Joker himself says he stands for nothing isn’t political and isn’t trying to start some revolution the people project their frustrations and meanin on him elevating him . Same with trump supporters who despite his actions and words rally around him as a symbol to sticking it to the elite and making snowflake tears when he’s a big snowflake himself just because they feel powerless.
And just like joker not taking someone’s issues serious lead to what he became a inspiration for the downtrodden

Just saw it

JPhoenix deserves an academy nomination

loved the tie ins with the Batman storyline.. I thought they had said this would movie would be more of a stand alone and have nothing to do with Batman?
Its supposed to be a one-off and not associated with any of the other comic book properties but if it really explodes it wouldn't surprise me if they tried incorporating it into the DCEU proper somehow.

Honestly Thomas Wayne felt more like the trump parable. Joker felt more like a victim, one of the normal lower class people with mental issues who ended up snapping

Outside the delusions with zazie, i don't see the incel shyt. This movie seems more of an anti capitalist movie than incel
People are reaching with the incel shyt because we know some people with mental health issues may be somehow inspired by this . However the movie definitely isn’t asking you to be like oh the joker is right be like him . He’s just the protagonist of the movie but this movie is more a condemnation of the system for how it treats the less fortunate. They even have Wayne saying clowns like deplorables and people taking that as a rallying cry . As if Wayne is a bad guy when he’s just out of touch

I was very impressed with the way he transformed into the joker as he went from the soft Arthur fleck to a prototype of the joker we are familiar with .

What ? Definitely better than jacks . Heaths is different but they are both amazing portrayals. I never thought I could see Arthur fleck becoming the joker in a sense that In the end he embodies the chaos and appeal joker gives to the disenfranchised and broken .

nikka you smoking crack :comeon:
I hate you hypebeast nikkas

This nikkas charisma is not touching Jack joker

Man jack handshake buzzer scene > Phoenixs best

No Wayne was like Hilary. He may have wanted the best but he’s out of touch. He’s nothing like trump if anything
Jokers fake mom and bf was the ones who hurt joker Wayne was trying to fix the city
the clown lines was like the deplorables lines.

Breh for the time his joker was fine but Jack Nicholson is a Much better actor than that . The most impressive thing is for a superhero movie back then jack didn’t phone it in
