No Not really
I saw 3 kids and someone with a fukkin babyJust finished it. It was good but people are hyping this shyt like it's a cinematic masterpiece. Don't get me wrong it's a good movie and if it wins golden globes and academy awards it's warranted but it's not a cinematic classic. Ledger is still the best cinematic Joker.
For people somehow hoping they could tie this to the DCEU or future Batman films you'll be disappointed. Also was hoping for some small easter eggs for comic nerds but there is little to none. No surprise appearances from anyone from the comics. Only comic appearances are those we already know(Thomas Wayne and young Bruce Wayne). Thomas Wayne is not really likeable in this movie.
Zazie Beetz was looking real good but then I remember reading an interview of hers and she said she doesn't shower regularly.
I can somewhat see why people are concerned that it could inspire people but honestly it's being blown out of proportion.
Some dumb mother actually brought her children to watch this film!
Overall I liked this movie but people are really overhyping this up. THIS NOT A COMIC BOOK MOVIE!

It definitely is on par, and I give this one a pass because its carried solely by him. There's no batman or sub plots. If there was a fleshed out story for joker to go at bats, this joker would be up there with them

What ? Definitely better than jacks . Heaths is different but they are both amazing portrayals. I never thought I could see Arthur fleck becoming the joker in a sense that In the end he embodies the chaos and appeal joker gives to the disenfranchised and broken .

By the time Bruce grows up he could definitely be that guy . You guys seem to be on the joker needs to be some criminal mastermind who can fight Batman tip when this portrayal is very true as well to the spirit of the modern joker . If you use one of the joker comic origins of the joker bring failed comedian became the joker he took time to be the joker as well .
