As a Comic Collector and Fan I agree with Todd Phillip on The Grown Male Nerd Child and we got some of these grown ass babies in this thread, like their comic movies only action, fighting with men in their drawls

Uh these are now billion dollar movies, the movie audience is way bigger than the comic reading audience. And the quote was specific to movies.

But it seems that Phillips didn't even say this reading previous posts in this thread it's Marc Maron but my critique applies to him if he is acting in this movie.

OK, I just saw the full length trailer for the first time before IT. I now see what people are saying about waiting to see what WoC think of the film. Why are all women in this trailer black women? 2 out of 3 of them represent negative and/or ineffectual and incompetant people that don't treat Joaquin's character well or help him. No one thinks that strange? I'm getting sick of diversity in films that places black bodies in positions where they are the antagonizer and/or bad people who make the white protagonist or villian sympathetic. I just hope that Zazie Beetz's character doesn't do anything like dump him or betray him, acting as cataylst to his final break down.

He don’t get enough credit for how he can switch it up and play any role makin you forget hes Joaquin Phoenix

Pretty much since he played Commodus he been on his Daniel Day Lewis shyt without getting that Daniel Day Lewis recognition. I saw the Johnny Cash movie just cuz he was in it and i dont even listen to that music. Found out he did his own singin and instrument playin in that one too

Feel like the only movie he did since then that got any buzz was Her even tho he was crushin roles in shyt like The Master.
