What's the run down on the film Memoria?
Thinking about catching it soon. It won't be available on DVD/On Demand/Streaming??
This was a gem, among my favorites to have dropped within the past year. Don’t go in expecting a full-on romance, it’s more of a character study and reality gut punch when it comes to the uncertainty of relationships ala (500) Days of Summer.
It’s a beautifully shot film. Such a warm charm overall and things at least for majority of the film felt naturalistic. The time-stopping scene in particular was a joy to watch.
Curious to see what others think of the main lead in this. Honestly found the actor who played Aksel to be the real stand-out here. Not going to spoil the story, but dude had a powerful scene in the closing act. Two scenes actually.

Aftersun is one of my favourites last year, bleek in places but very real and delicately seemed together like its a real journey the audience is involved in, sad, poignant and reflective. .Still have some flicks to get to from 2022 but this one here...well it's gonna stick with me for awhile
The way the video reitcordings, memories, and reality are weaved together is astonishing as a daughter tries to piece together the memory of her father. We get a great buildup to get back to the starting point in the same vein as Goodfellas that will leave you amazed. The acting is superb, the direction is amazing especially for a first time director (the interview scene is some great work for a rookie).
This gave me the same feelings that Shoplifters & Capernaum did
Wild that I can't find a legal stream anywhere else. Have you tried searching the Caribbean seas for it? Kodi/Real-Debrid usually helps me out with these instances.
