They decided to make a game from scratch.


They had the code in their lap and went chasing trends from 2017. Lol

The only had the code to arkham city, and those assets

Arkham Knight is an entirely different game with different assets, all they could of did with that old stuff was make a better looking Arkham Origins

Rockysteady is working on suicide squad game, they had no choice but to make a game from scratch

Even in Origins you could see a difference in the gameplay, it was a sluggish, and the level design was off, Batman couldn't glide has a high almost like an invincible ceiling and also the grapple hook couldn't grapple on things he should've, that's why they had to put fast travel in the game because moving around the map is tedious

in Arkham Knight the map is 3 times as big, no fast travel, because it's not needed, Batman can quickly move around the map even without the batmobile

Rocksteady actually gave WB montreal all their source code. They have a good working relationship.

For Arkham City, that series is over, Rockysteady is working on Suicide Squad game that's entirely differen

If they were making another arkham city clone they could do, but now they have to make a brand new game, and they are trash

WB Montreal made the Arkham Knight DLC Batgirl: A Matter of Family, Red Hood Story Pack, Harley Quinn Story Pack, and the Scarecrow Nightmare Pack.

I played all of them (including Arkham Origins) except for the Scarecrow Nightmare Pack. They did a much better job on Arkham Knight. The experience was way more polished than Arkham Origins.

Those are Arkham Games what don't you understand

the Suicide Squad game Rockysteady is making has nothing to do with the arkham game engine

IF Rocksteady gives the Arkham code anybody can make an arkham game

now Montreal as to show they can make a game from scratch without it being handed to them and it's not like looking good
