So Was Rob, Joffrey, & Stannis. nikkas die every day

Bruh you're clearly wishfully hoping he's alive. What main character has been brought back to life?

Did you read the interview with EW? The nikka said he's done. He talked to the showrunners & they said he won't be back.

Let It Go

Nah breh, what else you expect them to say at a interview the day after the episode aired?

Fact is, this is the last image book readers are left with in Jon's last chapter, we known this for 4 years already but there's clues throughout the series that's leads us to believe he's gonna be ressurected

-Thoros showing melisandre the lord of light has the power to ressurect ppl...we do not see this in the books, so when i saw that scene in s3 I was instantly like ":jawalrus: yup he's coming back"

-in the books when stannis leaves the wall for winterfell, Melisande actually stays behind. When she looks in her fires for stannis all she sees is "snow". On the show we see her march off with stannis than all of a sudden dip on him and appear at the wall right before Jon gets stabbed

-then we got the Jon/Melisande staresown at s4

-Sam saying "Jon ALWAYS comes back"

No way he's dead, I'd like to see if they even attempt to hide kit filming s6 during production

here's my prediction for the northern storyline next season. if it comes true im gonna bookmark this post and expect a positive rep train :win:

stannis is still alive. brienne saw the defeat and resignation in his eyes and decided death would be too quick and easy and painless for him. she says "hey we arent too far from the wall, im sending him to the watch". she decides she wont be able to save sansa on her own, so she will drop stannis off at the wall and try to convince jon snow to come save his sister, not knowing that sansa escaped or that jon is dead. so stannis, pod and brienne head up to the wall.

sansa and reek head up to the wall taking a more hidden path and limping along slowly, so it takes them a little longer. reek is badly hurt and possibly dying. so we get a slow dragging storyline of ramsey trying to hunt them down while they stay a step ahead and well hidden all season.

at the wall we get a standoff. alliser thorne and the rest of the stabbers up against the handful of nights watch bros that had jon snows back and the wildlings. alliser n them are outnumbered and get thrown in cells. brienne arrives with stannis in chains who is thrown in a cell until they decide what to do with him.

davos meanwhile has left the wall to ride for eastwatch and catch a ship home since there is no one left for him to fight for. on the way there, he runs into reek and sansa. sansa tells him who she is and asks him to take her to jon snow, but davos tells her he is dead. she tells him about bran and rickon and davos decides to make it his duty to help her save them. davos feels like shyt about losing his son and shireen, and the fact sansa has lost her whole family, so he decides to try and help her find her brothers at least.

melisandre meanwhile spends the first episode defeated. looking into her fires and wondering how she fukked up. avoiding stannis at all costs when she finds out he has arrived. then the day they are supposed to burn jon's body on the funeral pyre, she remembers thoros of myr and beric dondarrion. she stops the funeral and begs for a chance to bring him back. tormund decides to let her try, and she does. jon comes back to life, but meaner and not the same jon.

bran is hard to predict but he will be having flashbacks and visions of the future and he will be warging shyt.

Oh shyt the dude that gave snowman his valy blade is Jorah's dad :ohhh:

That Chekhov theory is nice. Quite succinct for game of thrones.
grrm makes it a point to not adhere to conventional ways of telling a story. jon snow might just be dead, since he was the most conventional hero of the whole story, even more so than ned stark. however, harrington said he won't return next season, he didn't say he wouldn't return in season 7. since next season might focus on bran, who didn't come back this season even though he wasn't dead, jon snow might return for season 7. i wouln't bet on it though :manny:.

So you saying they won't burn his body for months or weeks? You saying that Ramsey a master Hunter won't track two wounded unskilled people down ? Plus he on horseback and being hunting all his life with his kennel of trained hunting dogs? Yea ok??!

What about:

Stannis says "Do your duty"

Brienne realizes at that moment that her "duty" was as sworn shield to Catelyn Stark to protect Sansa. When Stannis says that, she realizes she has abandoned her duty for a personal vendetta. She swings the sword but doesn't connect and leaves him there to die on his own.

Brienne is not a cold hearted killer. Her honor and duty come before anything.

She entered into service for Cat under one condition: that when the time came, Cat wouldn't stand in the way of her killing Stannis.

This ain't an Arya-Hound situation, Brienne legit hates Stannis. Leaving him there to die makes no sense. That would not aid her in doing her duty to Cat at all.

The only way I could see her not killing Stannis is if she determines she NEEDS Stannis to do her duty. The Boltons wouldn't give up Sansa for Stannis, but they would open the gates of Winterfell if she walked up to it with Stannis at swordpoint. She could worry about freeing Sansa once she got inside. Even that's a reach given how Brienne was treated the last time she was in a Bolton camp, she would be wary of how unstable and ruthless they could be especially to a lady knight who no longer has any value to them, but it's really the best shot she'd have at getting anywhere near Sansa.

Love
you wrong if you believe King Stannis died:salute:

#StannisMovement til 2017
I don't think he died either
Brienne was too dedicated to her King (Renly Baratheon) to not avenge him when she got such an easy opportunity to do so.

She has no life of her own. All she knows is keeping her oath. She would not have let Stannis live.

Man, if Brienne turns merciful on Stannis simply cuz he's "defeated" and told her to "do her duty" with his last words it would ruin the series for me.

That's some D-level writing, a complete about-face for Brienne for reason at all.
