anyways...all I'm getting that they are alll different in appearances but all have their father's eyes and fight like him.

Sand Snakes

The Sand Snakes are the infamous b*starddaughters of Prince Oberyn Martell by various women, the name alluding to their father's nickname, “the Red Viper”, and to their surname Sand, given to b*stards in Dorne. Some daughters of his were born of septas, others of noble women and others still of prostitutes. Despite the variances in their birthmothers and appearances, they are all said to have their father's eyes.

The oldest Sand Snakes are companions and confidantes of their cousin, Princess Arianne. The youngest four are Oberyn's daughters by his paramour, Ellaria Sand.

Eight sand snakes, in order of age:

• Obara Sand. Daughter of a whore ofOldtown, and given to martial pursuits as she considers herself a warrior, wielding a spear and whip. She is a sturdily built woman of swarthy coloring and no particular beauty.[1]
• Nymeria Sand. Called 'Lady Nym', her mother was a noblewoman from Old Volantis. Nymeria is elegant, refined, and beautiful with dark eyes and silky black hair worn in a braid bound with copper wires.[1]
• Tyene Sand. Daughter of a septa. Tyene is closest of all the Sand Snakes to her cousinArianne. She is known to have skills in herbcraft and poison, and is regarded as treacherous, while maintaining a sweet and pious persona. She is fair, blue-eyed and blonde.[1]
• Sarella Sand. Daughter of a trader from theSummer Isles. She is referred to as playing a "game" in Oldtown.[1]
• Elia Sand, called 'Lady Lance'. The oldest daughter of Oberyn's paramour Ellaria Sand and granddaughter of Lord Harmen Uller. She appears to have been named after Princess Elia. She's fond of horses and jousting.[2]
• Obella Sand. Daughter of Ellaria Sand and granddaughter of Lord Harmen Uller.
• Dorea Sand. Daughter of Ellaria Sand and granddaughter of Lord Harmen Uller.
• Loreza Sand. Daughter of Ellaria Sand and granddaughter of Lord Harmen Uller.

It was really fukked up because Oberyn's fighting style was really cool and well-done last season so I was expecting these chicks to move around like their daddy but instead they were fighting like Power Rangers.

That other post was good. But I never liked that photo its too stylized. But basically,

Obara is butch as hell, dark, stocky, bgger than the rest of her sisters and has literally NO softness to her. And sick with that spear like her dad.
Nymeria is supposed to be kinda pale but strikingly gorgeous. Of the four (there is a fourth one) she's by far the most attractive and sexy but can fight just as well as Obara and is the most politically adept of the four.
Tyene isn't really a fighter and is kinda little and blonde. She specializes in poisons. She dresses like a septa.

They all have their dads eyes and widow's peaks.

So imo the only one they got right was Obara...but they all look like they could be Pedro Pascal's daughters in a way so I guess that fits.

My god that fight was horrid though....I'da rather them get and actual martial artist for Obara and Nymeria....and not have Tyene fight at all but be a planner with Ellaria.

All of this falls apart because of no Arianne though...seriously she was the glue that held the Dorne arc in place (between dealing with the Snakes as well as dealing with Doran and interacting with Myrcella)

Yeah they really fukked up Dorne this season. They made Ellaria Sand really unlikeable and the Sand Snakes are meh as a whole. They fukked up by not including Arianne. The Greyjoys would have been so much better.

This was the PERFECT opportunity for them to advance the idea they've been slowly developing that sansa is maturing from the naive, helpless girl she was into someone capable of playing the game

breh, sansa married dude and knows what the deal is, she was gonna get fukked regardless of her maturing, and we know it wasn't gonna be pleasant, hell dany had the same reaction, that has nothing to do with her coming up with a plan/not being a victim. in no situation were people going to be happy with him fukking her unless they completely broke character and he decided to gently make love to her...

Yeah they really fukked up Dorne this season. They made Ellaria Sand really unlikeable and the Sand Snakes are meh as a whole. They fukked up by not including Arianne. That's the only downfall of this season for me so far. I was really looking forward to the Dornish this season and the fact that they cut the Greyjoys for this is laughable. The Greyjoys would have been so much better.

That was exactly my problem with it; it was so obvious I figured the show would do something smarter/unexpected instead like they normally do.

I think what would've been more in keeping with the arc Sansa has been on is for her to instead do something similar to what margaery did with joffrey



Margaery won over a sadistic sociopath by feeding his ego and giving him the idea that he might have found someone who would also enjoy hurting others. Based on their dinner together and her conversation with myranda, sansa knew ramsay's character and should've been smart enough to come up with a plan by now. Knowing he's a sadistic freak who MUST have something crazy in mind for their wedding night, the moment they got back to the room she should've basically told ramsay "myranda's in love with you. let's go kill her to get me in the mood ". I bet that sick nikka would've gone from to

Would've been the dark, shocking, controversial scene they were obviously reaching for, except this one wouldn't have felt like a regression for sansa
