The Vale is the region, not the hood. The Dreadfort/Storm's End equivalent for that region is The Eyrie

The Vale would be the equivalent name to the Crownlands/North/Riverlands

The story of how Storm's End got it's name makes it even more badass. Built by Durran Godsgrief during the Age of Heroes. He married Elenei, daughter of the sea god and goddess of wind. The Gods didn't like that she married a mortal so they would destroy his castle every time he built one, even killing a bunch of people at their wedding. But like a true g, Durran kept rebuilding his castle as a giant fukk you to the gods. The seventh castle he built stood strong against the gods and was named Storm's End.
