I agree, Stannis' family honor always trumps his duty, as proven by him committing treason in taking Robert Baratheon's side in the rebellion rather than the Mad King's side
BUT....what has me worried is just how demonic Selyse was acting. Who does Selyse serve first, her husband or the Lord of Light? She says "as you command" to Stannis, but what if the Lord of Light commands her to burn Shireen?
I don't like it one bit, I'm legit worried. Shireen would be the worst death in the series, bar none. Even worse than Ned. Ned at least was a man grown who made stupid political decisions that cost him his life. Shireen is Shireen.
My blood is boiling right now brehs, I'm legit mad just thinking about it. I wanna kill Selyse in real life right now sitting in front of me and she aint nothing but a fictional character who has done nothing wrong yet
