I can't believe people calling stuff 'nitpicking'

the standards this show set were too fukking high for this quality to be considered normal. there used to be levels on levels to the moves made and now the majority of what we see on screen is even dumber than what it appears to be.

i dont understand the defensive posture for this stuff anymore. and before people go all "why are you still watching" the obvious answer is that its been damn near a decade of a show and loyal fans will put up with anything just to see it end. if the writers cared as much as the people defending the shyt writing did, then this script wouldn't even exist

What's wild is most of the people talking about "OMG why are you guys still watching?!" was never even in a "GOT" thread until this season.

This is what happens though, when a show is doing insane numbers. Like 18 million or whatever. The core fan base becomes the minority.

When the Sopranos crew took a 2 year break they came back with the excellent final 9 episodes. I was hoping that's what we were in for. So far this has to go down as the second or third worst season. These writers are either grossly incompetent or they just don't give a fukk.

They cut away from Jon revealing his true parentage to the Starks

They cut that scene and gave us that stupid ass Bronn scene

We got a Jaime/Brienne scene but not Sansa finding out Jon is the true King

They took Brienne and turned her into a crying little b!tch because she got dikked down twice

They fukking cut out Sansa and Arya finding out Jon is not, was never, their brother. They cut out Arya and Sansa finding out Ned Stark was honourable beyond even their imagination

These writers ain't shyt

Euron hid his whole fleet behind a valley and the dragons didn't see him

Dany has VARYS MASTER OF WHISPERERS in her camp but has no idea what Cersei's army is up to

Dany marched up to Kings Landing with less men than Rza shouted out on WuTang Clan ain't nothing to fukk with matter fact there was a bigger posse in that video

This was entertaining but fukk this was poor writing so far this season has been BEYOND THE WALL status only, no glimpses of S1-3 at all.

Losing a dragon from Euron that way felt cheap and I feel robbed that scene will never sit right with me

8 seasons of 3 dragons being led up, just like the night king, to be the biggest war machines the world has seen and so far both the dragons and night king seem like easy work

8 fukking seasons and a dragon, gets killed, in open ocean waters, with 100% precise aim, from a fleet of ships hiding behind a hill

If the hill was so big the dragons couldnt see the ships from 1000 feet up, how would the ships even have an angle to shoot up at a dragon

I was legit mad watching that scene

I dont mind the dragons, night king or anyone dying

My issue is how theyre dying

Just seems like cheap ways to remove them

Yeah it's funny and dumb but it's happened in damn near every TV show and/or movie in existence at one point or another. The "LOTR" movies had a gang of stuff like this.

true true.. I'm just saying this is not the same show as season 1-4, once you've accepted that you just take it for what it is. And I'm in no defensive posture lol, I've been criticizing the whole season, even when ppl were pretending to like the first two episodes

We watched Theon be tortured and humiliated for years just to get a pat on the head from Bran right before getting Yamcha'd I don't mind a rushed wrap up but at least value how the fukk we got here

What are your main problems with it? Everyone is saying the writing.. Yeah, it's rushed. But what are your main problems? What are the specifics of your gripes?

I let shyt like "why didn't Cersei just kill Dany" slide because that's every movie that has ever existed.. Why didn't the bad guy kill Will Smith and Martin Lawrence when he had the chance? I can do that about any movie ever
