Anything new on the undercard bouts?
yea man, that's what i'm waiting on. i love watching floyd, but i feel like they've been making it a point to make the undercards solid lately, too.

gonna be tough to beat the Mayweather/Alvarez undercard, but hope they continue to try.

Keith Thurman, please!!

shouldn't be that hard to beat the one's undercard as long as broner-john molina doesn't come to fruition as a co main event...they need one serious main event level fight on their undercard...cuz really most bought that card after garcia-matthysse was announced..very few people anticipated carlos molina-ishe smith or cano-theophane unless you were a fan of them (im a molina fan)

Lara vs Ishe Smith is on the undercard right? That is a HORRIBLE matchup.

Is this actually true?.......Can't wait for this sh!t.

Floyd Mayweather Jr will show Adrien Broner how truly intelligent boxer he is and you will never be Floyd and get your own identity

At the end, he goes into his jump rope routine. I didn't know this until a few years ago but there is a quite large group of people that likes to watch him jump rope.

True, but I look at it in Mayweather mastered how to be effective while moving forward. What he wasn't going to do was let Canelo dictate the action and get in rhythm. His defensive style vs Cotto would have been disastrous vs Canelo. Also, I think Mayweather cautiously decides what punches he throws to protect his hands. Versus Guerrero he realized it was easy money after the first couple of rounds and let his right hand go at will, knowing that even if he hurt it Guerrero couldn't beat him. Against Canelo, Mayweather had plenty of opportunities to land significant power shots, but I think he knowingly didn't throw them to protect his hands. Mayweather admitted that Canelo's punches landing to the sides of his arms hurt...if Mayweather hurt his hand midway through the fight, Mayweather isn't big enough to keep Canelo off of him and would have been running. Instead he chose effective aggressiveness - moving Canelo around the ring, landing clean shots, not throwing aggressive power shots, and played defense to not take power shots to any part of his body.
My opinion of what happened.

Floyd biggest enemy are the brittleness of his hands. If they were even halfway decent, I bet they'd fly more

canelo is bigger, stronger, faster, and threw 8 punches a round. canelo looked like he was more worried about messing up his hair than trying to fight floyd and i dont think thats going to be the case with marcos maidana. you might be right about it looking a lot like the jesus chavez fight. my thinking on this is that its going to look a little something like either that chavez fight or the hatton fight. but maidana is a better fighter than chavez and hatton.
Floyd been sounding like this for years :dwillhuh: sounds like your reaching for reasons that maidana can win . Canelo is better than maidana but Floyd reduces people to fighters throwing 8 punches a round as I doubt they was his strategy . Like other people have said everyone thinks they going to pressure to Floyd and come forward Yada Yada until they eating hard clean accurate combos for every time they try and exchange . He's going to be a punching bad with a lot of heart

floyd used to speak a little quicker and be more clear. voice was different. he talks slower with a lot of pauses more now, which you could attribute to boxing. i heard him dragging his words a little when he was talking to brian kenny during canelo/angulo if you listen to that interview you can hear it. i might be wrong but boxing does little things like that to fighters if you follow james toney's career you can hear his speech pattern change more and more every year in his career to now you cant really understand him anymore. boxing just chips away at fighters like that.

He is more thoughtful nowadays and not the bragging prick he used to be. James Toney sounds like a punching bag with lips breh. Speaking has never been his forte. However, when he has his script and ready to clown someone, he is on point like always.
