Missed the Gonzalez fight since I had to run to the store right after the Johnson fight.

Entertaining card from what I saw, but definitely not ppv worthy, but then again HBO put Vitali vs Danny Williams on ppv and this was definitely better than that.

I'm saying man. How many rounds have to go by with you getting popped between the eyes with a jab before you start moving your head side to side.

Lemieux fukked himself by taking this fight when he could have milked the "hard hitting male model" thing for a good year before taking this ass whooping.
He especially shouldn't have taken the fight since he and his corner seemed totally incapable of doing even the most basic counters to Golovkin's jab. It was infuriating watching him in this fight.

Thats all on Golden Boy N them being Desperate...smart business men woulda let lemeuix fight N kill two bums to build him into GGG jr...then unify Canelo vs Lemeuix on PPV....all in house all the money is yours...lemeuix would a built his name up N they would a ate

That also gives Canelo time to grow into 160 before GGG

But nah do cocaine instead

this is the million dollar question? ..because there are those who thought that floyd-berto was actually good and it wasnt even the best fight on its own card

The difference between Floyd/Berto and this card is that there was the very high chance of this one being an exciting slugfest while there was zero chance of anything exciting happening in Floyd/Berto.

Nobody thought Lemieux was going to win but the conventional wisdom was that the two guys were going to be throwing heat at one another for however long it took Golovkin to knock Lemieux out. That makes for a potentially exciting match-up.
All anyone expected from Floyd/berto was 12 boring rounds of Floyd defensively outclassing his opponent just like always.
