this episode kind of played up biggest concerns for the season. it's been two episodes and its already too Nate heavy.
they could have left him in the hospital for a week.. the stuff with him and Cassie was basically unnecessary.. she could've been having her breakdown and his pops could have did what he did without involving Nate. the scene at the end would've hit harder if he was just getting home from the hospital and saying it.
I feel like your man that plays Nate wants out and they're wrapping up his arc this season instead of doing over the course of the three/four seasons the show will run for.
if thats the case, I just hope they don't go for a Nate redemption arc.. it won't work, you can't redeem that character.
the preview for next week.. we only have eight episodes, we do not need a backstory for Cal/Nates dad.
keep that for the youngins. Elliott's one would make sense for a third episode.
they kind of wrote the Jules/Rue relationship weak this ep
Jules is fleeting, cool and enigmatic theres no way she'd feel so emotional about Rue having a little crush on Elliot. they actually dumbed the character down in that scene and i'm glad they seem to be moving Rue's story along next week instead of her just getting high again.
Maddy is going to be offered the chance to wear Minka Kelly's wardrobe in exchange for some threesomes with her husband isn't she ??
Fez was sounding like Duh-Duh Man when Lexi came around.
