Just looked, 81% on RT. Most of the critics like it.

What I mean is when the show premiered, there were many reviews and op'eds, mostly from top critics, who questioned whether the show was going to be deeper, as the potential showed, or mostly slick, superficial entertainment, I think after the finale, we can safely say the latter. Though, it does manage to sort of slide in between, with somewhat insightful handling of it's characters, and impressive performances from the leads. Then it goes into overdrive with Nate's character. Then it goes back again.

I want to love the show but I only like it. I felt like it really jumped the shark the last few episodes. Rue and Jules "friendship/love affair" isn't remotely believable and seems to have happened at a super accelerated pace. In fact, I feel like the pacing in the show is way too fast. We've not emotionally invested enough in the characters in the first season for them to be thrust in some life or death situations so soon.

If Zendaya don't come out the closet after this shyt....

I disagree I think it's hitting a level above slick, superficial entertainment. I was listening to a pod earlier and they alluded to the fact that you never see how drug addiction affects an entire family and in Euphoria we are shown how Rue has been affected and is dealing with it but also how it's ruined the lives of a lot of people around her, how her sister is dealing with it, how her mom is reacting... The show is deeper than you are saying here.
