Why Scarlet Witch Isn't a Mutant Anymore (and Won't Be Again)
this isn’t a spoiler it’s been canon in marvel for like a decade.
Yet the main stories they're using for the source material, she's a mutant. Her and Pietro were called 'miracles' from the jump to be analogs for mutants and we are bringing mutants into the storyline, including Billy and Tommy...to suggest she just has nothing to do with it because of some retcons in the comics is kinda wild to me.
Agatha saying she had latent/dormant powers means she was born with abilities that human beings, sorcerers included don't have.
I no longer understand Wanda's powers. In the comics I thought she was a mutant with witchlike powers. But in actuality she's a mutant AND a witch?
She is a mutant and a witch, it sounds confusing but it's not that many twists and turns.
Her telepathy and probability field manipulation comes natural, you know all the shyt you saw her do in AOU
The Chaos magick. the ability to actually re-write reality is more like a gift (or curse) from the god of chaos Chthon that Agatha has to teach her how to control it. Kinda like the Jean/Phenoix except it's not necessarily a separate entity.
It's why as powerful and SKILLED at magik as Agatha and Strange are, there is plenty of separation between them and Wanda.
