Loki to be fair was a well known pagan myth character. So i would’nt say nobody heard of him

:mjlol:

This is the fans cheering Branagh (The Director of Thor 1)

t=29s

Loki didn't even get the cheers that the director got .. They barely noticed Tom enter the room.

Natalie Portman and Helmsworth also both outshone Loki.

Then Marvel did their work and you got Loki ruling Comic Con Hall H

The MCU made the Avengers more popular for audiences than the Fox X-Men in only 6 films. Some people might say that they managed that with only their 1st film, Iron Man 1.

The MCU turned "boring powered" Cap, Loki, Black Window ,Winter Soldier, Falcon into (at least) popular characters who now can carry their own TV series and films. Cap 1 was once considered a world war 2 story about the most "boring avenger" and now Cap gets the biggest hero cheers.

In the case of Loki (who no one in the general public had previously heard of), they turned him into a real-world actor-god in just 2 films - Thor 1 and Avengers.

So what if you don't like old ("malcolm times") how about what the MCU has done in the last 13 years.

The MCU turned a racc00n and a tree into stars didn't they  .

The FF are in safe hands. The Avengers always beat the X-men out for spectacle so the X-men have to find an MCU niche. My guess is that it will be a less glamorous one than both the FF (the establishment cosmic scientist family) and the Avengers (the super super-heroes).

Fantastic 4 being meh with general audiences has been going on for quite a while. While characters like Cap, Iron Man, etc...weren't on the level of the X-Men they could at least grab attention for a bit in cartoons, video games, etc... Fantastic 4 been flopping in every medium for decades now. The ONLY reason people want them included in shyt is for the villains and affiliated characters like Silver Surfer. Outside of that nobody cares for the actual Fantastic 4 themselves. Crazy thing is even when people do mention them it's for fukkery reasons such as "I wanna see Sue get smutted out by Namor or Black Panther", I wanna see abusive Mr. Fantastic", or even "I want to see Human Torch in a Spiderman movie".

cap was considered a joke ... even after the MCU started. it was only with Cap 2 that he ascended to the position he has now. with cap 2 people thought "cap is cool now" and that came with the acting and the writing.

brehs trying to deny something that is common knowledge.

when almost bankrupt marvel sold their characters to save the skin they only managed to sell the prime heroes 1. spider-man 2. hulk 3. x-men, 4. ff, 5. sub-mariner.

-

falcon is now a more compelling character than any fox x-man save magneto. that's the studio and the acting.

when falcon was first suggested for winter soldier people thought it was a joke. a guy with bird wings and bird telepathy ... that's his powers? now that same falcon is effectively in position no.1 for the role of cap himself.

given that the FF have a higher starting point than falcon, bucky, rocket, groot, peter quill, gamora etc, despite the failings of fox, in the hands of the right people and with the right actors we shouldn't write them off.

a racc00n is a top 5 MCU character. just let that sink in.

You pulled a screenshot from a Captain America movie made in like 1989 as evidence when at that point you could count the number of even average comic movies on one hand. :mjlol:

Keep it 100. Are people asking for FF for Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and Thing OR are they asking because they want to see Doom, Galactus, and Silver Surfer in the MCU.

You know the answer to that question.

Once again.

People were not even "asking for cap". He was a joke that they turned into a star within a few movies... It doesn't matter "why people are asking" (or whatever nebulous metric you want to pick), the point is that the MCU has a track record of turning people with even worse starting positions than the FF into stars. Namely a racc00n, a tree, cap, bucky and the others I named. Meanwhile Fox couldn't even make a Falcon level drama out of the greatest comic story of them all "Dark Phoenix". The MCU on the other hand turned B level characters in the MCU (Vision and Wanda) into A listers in 4 short episodes.

Take the Cap, rocket, tree, wanda etc improvement and apply that to the FF before making predictions.

You will try to ignore the MCU track record again ... but it is there for everyone to see.
