Haven't seen the new Dune yet but RIP to Dean Stockwell of Quantum Leap fame.

He was in the original Dune when he played Dr. Wellington Yueh.

Read the book but completely forgot about this guy.

Good movie but splitting it in parts kinda killed my intrigue i.e. the ending

Two hours and 35 minutes of great color grading, mediocre combat scenes and boring storytelling.

I feel bad cause I threw this on for my brother and my wife like, let's check this out before it's off HBO Max...

I was also wondering how the Fremen live undergound with worms tunneling all over, but then I thought worms cant tunnel through rock.

Or doesnt the sand compactor use vibrations, wont that attract worms?

Reading the books may have all these little details.

I never read the books/comics, I never seen the original movie.

I watched this without reading or seeing any reviews. I literally spent 2 and half hours and the payoff was underwhelming. The entire story was forecasted throughout with Paul's visions/dreams, the battles were shyt, the only person that went out like a g, was his pops with the poison tooth, everything else was just boring.

I watched it with subtitles on too so I didn't miss anything that was going on with the story. This def took the title from TENET as the most disappointing blockbuster I've seen in recent history

This is something that I agree with. The story would have more time to be built up with a series. I can acknowledge that the lore and depth was interesting, but it didn't really do it for me over a movie viewing

Movie was ok...cinematography should sweep every awards show... but Denis is a master at this so no surprise there...

To me it didn't server any purpose but to set up the second and third movies...

What's the box office take for this cause if two isn't done right this shyt could BOMB

Movie is garbage.
Wish i could say it was not but i gotta be real.
My whole original rap career was based off this movie gimmick.

They already made a series listening to these bookworm nerds.
who not trying to make this material have any pop whatsoever.
This movie pretty much killed the idea you could do this.
As the procurment to really do this and make it right.
Is why george lucas wrote star wars.

This property and major filmhouse still do not understand rhe indie blockbuster magic of star wars and this film is further proof. We just lucky to have had star wars.
