Haven't seen the new Dune yet but RIP to Dean Stockwell of Quantum Leap fame.
He was in the original Dune when he played Dr. Wellington Yueh.
Got DAMN you thought it was that bad breh? This is quite possibly the worst big budget highly produced movie I've ever seen
Two hours and 35 minutes of great color grading, mediocre combat scenes and boring storytelling.
I feel bad cause I threw this on for my brother and my wife like, let's check this out before it's off HBO Max...
I really gotta read the books.
I was also wondering how the Fremen live undergound with worms tunneling all over, but then I thought worms cant tunnel through rock.
Or doesnt the sand compactor use vibrations, wont that attract worms?
Reading the books may have all these little details.
I never read the books/comics, I never seen the original movie.Got DAMN you thought it was that bad breh?
This review makes a lot of sense, the battle scenes are shyt and the movie doesn't stand on its own without context. Unfortunately that book just is not designed for the movie format, it should have been another mini series or something so that you can add more action/adventure elements(lke Momoa finding/fighting the fremen) and setting up the different noble houses.I never read the books/comics, I never seen the original movie.
I watched this without reading or seeing any reviews. I literally spent 2 and half hours and the payoff was underwhelming. The entire story was forecasted throughout with Paul's visions/dreams, the battles were shyt, the only person that went out like a g, was his pops with the poison tooth, everything else was just boring.
This is something that I agree with. The story would have more time to be built up with a series. I can acknowledge that the lore and depth was interesting, but it didn't really do it for me over a movie viewingThis review makes a lot of sense, the battle scenes are shyt and the movie doesn't stand on its own without context. Director did the best job possible but this movie still doesnt stand on its own atall

Definitely will keep this one in mind if I'm ever having trouble sleeping.
Never put it past a coli poster to come through with unabashed hyperbole and shyt opinions
