i'm late to this but loved it. this is definitely in my top 3 favorite marvel movies and i would put it as my 2nd favorite marvel movie right now behind civil war. they did a good job with pacing and developing strange's character. the only issue i have is a minor one and it was mordo's character turning heel so fast after being a mentor to strange. it happened really fast which makes me think he's gonna be a small screen time villain.

Well, Baron Mordo is Stranges biggest foe so hopefully they dont do that.

He found out his mentor was using illegal magic the entire time to stay alive

He found out his protege who he trained, used illegal magic to defeat dormammu

Marvel and Disney did a great job making dr strange fun and appealing. Seems like everyone doubted the character and thought he would be boring but he's probably gonna be the 2nd fan favorite behind iron man imo. That's my sorcerer

People seem to miss the fact that he changed his whole life and gave up everything to enforce these rules because he believed in his teacher. Finding out his teacher had been bending/breaking those rules since before he was born broke him. He tried to hold on but seeing that he was the only one holding on to the principles he was taught made him decide to get rid of those with the knowledge to break the rules and cause catastrophe.

As far as he's concerned he hasn't turned, he's just going further to enforce and protect natural law.

Yea he was hesitant the whole time and once the ancient one's cheat code was revealed he was like wtf. Its like finding out the pope got mad hoes when u been celibate for decades

I'm glad y'all posted this and spelled it out as for so long I never got how cats in here was like "bu bu bu bu but Mordo turned so quick.... that was a quick turn"

This nicca the whole movie has been adhering to a strong moral code that he believe should not be broken.... cuz that what he was taught.

But then see 3 people he was kinda close to it betray that code.

I think the ONLY reason the Asian dude wasn't mad was cuz he had died and Strange (violating or not) brought him back from death..... but I'm sure he would've been pissed too.

Also..... time lines....... I'm sure that after credit scene probably took places weeks if not months after the events in China. I'm sure he ain't just warp to NY 20 mins after facing them final villains and do Buddy dirty like that.

He probably had ample time to reflect and come to the decision he came to that's gonna be his goal going forward.

Took my kids to see it again yesterday and so the inception city bending shyt is power borrowed from Dormammu cause the opening fight scene when the ancient one gets wreck mads called her a hypocrite
