OFFICIAL DEXTER FINAL SEASON THREAD
I think this has been a good season but its missing an antagonist like Doakes or Lundy to create that tension of someone finding out his secret. It really doesn't feel like the final season.
Its funny, we all pictured the final season to be Dex on the run or some shyt but its like the writers said fukk it, we did that already in the previous seasons.

Like others have said, the writing is lackluster. I'll spare my opinion because I'm really trying to play dumb for the rest of the season.

I haven't been reading this thread, cuz I was always 1 or 2 episodes behind, but I really enjoy this season. its going all over the place, but I like it.

quinn suriving all these seasons is a miracle to me. he is the WORST character on the show by far.

I hope that there would be a season 9 since Dex now has a serial killer squad team he rolls with now:
Dex: Leader and head killing motherfukker
Hannah: Dex's bytch and poison expert
Zach: Dex's apprentice
Ghost Harry: Dex's advisor
Dr. Vogel: serial killer expert and "creator" of Dexter
Deb: Dex's sister and intel of police activity
When you think about this is what Dexter always truly wanted... to be open about his psychotic killing nature to people and they accept him for it. Would have been fun to see him with his team for a while but we can't cause everything is coming to an end.

The true problem is that the TRUE VILLAINS that Dex should be facing right now are already dead. The nikkas that gave Dex the most hell were: his brother Brian, that MOTHERfukkER Doakes, Lila and Trinity Killer... and even Prado due to his job status. Problem is that Dex wipe them all out during the first 4 seasons where the writing was the best. The last 4 seasons Dex practically had to fight himself since virtually everyone else couldn't hand with Dex's gangsta levels of badassness:
Jordan Chase and his Scooby Doo Crew: Worst villains in the history of the series
Robocop and Quinn: Dex knocked them off the list in record time
LaQureta: Was always two steps ahead of her
Doomsday Killer: I may be the ONLY person on this thread to like Travis Marshall as a main villain. Dude's killing was creative and he was basically "anti-Dex" meaning while Dex KNOWS he's crazy and uses Ghost Harry as an advisor, Travis BELIEVED his craziness and use his Ghost professor to kill random people.
My point is that they blew their wads too early and not saved up for the final climax. I still say that Dex and his Killer Squad vs Super Secret Special Agent Lundy and the FBI during a Bay Harbor Butcher Manhunt should have been the final season.

I dont think its Mathews either but hes the only high ranking officer(that we know) that has known Dex and Vogal for years
And people have already speculated that Matthews knows about Dex since back when Quinn was trying to expose Dex

I always thought from the beginning of the season she was the killer and she killed Harry cause he couldnt handle what Dex had become and she thought he would expose Dex
They been making it so obvious she the killer tho im starting to think its not her...but this could be another situation like the Doomsday killer season where people just figured it out early

i been away to long, my feeling died.
Let's be honest here: the only reason why Dexter has been able to operate as Miami's premiere serial killer for so long is because his coworkers are terrible at their jobs. Dexter routinely gets away with destroying evidence, hacking into police databases to find crooks and setting up elaborate kill rooms around town, all under the oblivious noses of his dimwitted coworkers.
Honestly, who in Miami Metro warrants a spinoff? Batista, who somehow made it to captain despite the fact that he got caught with a hooker, beat up a fellow officer and completely ignored the suspicions LaGuerta -- who he was once married to, let's not forget -- brought up about Dexter? Quinn, whose sole purpose is to scowl and sleep with whatever female character needs a storyline? The new uptight lady cop whose name we can't be bothered to Google because the writers could clearly care less about developing her character? That said, we would totally watch the heck out of 'Masuka Nights,' a spinoff that exists solely in our mind where the randy forensic specialist moves to Daytona Beach to solve crimes and ogle Spring Break hotties.These are the dumbest cops in history.
