Personally I like trek since they have dedicated stores and I didn't see that with other brands. Similar to apple, when your stuff acting up just head to store and you good. Obviously most lbs will be to do the same thing though.
From the little I've looked I kinda like the Trek FX 2. But it feels like that shyt is hard to find and the places that have it are like $700-800.
I was hoping to find something used closer to $500.

Locally on Craigslist and OfferUp there are bikes for sale, but most of them are either too small for me (I'm 6'4) or they're old bikes from like the 1980s or 1990s.

So what bike brands do you guys recommend?
Because I have zero frame of reference here.

On some websites I see certain brands popping up. Cannondale, Giant, whatever.
But some other brands I have never heard of. Like someone made a bike in their garage from used landfill parts, lol

Trek and giant are foot starter brands. Their higher tier is :wow:

When you start getting into boutique brands it’s like going from Acura to Benz.

Cervelo
Orbea
Copolongo
Bianchi
Pinarello
Etc

My guy them shyts look like they’re doing 60 while standing still :banderas:

For me personally it’s more about the drivetrain but I’m not gonna front and say I haven’t dreamt of having a Pinarello Dogma just off the strength of the brand.

That Pinarello is a sexy bike. Wow.

You ain’t lying, them brands starting prices are crazy. If I ever upgrade I don’t know which brand I go to.

Trucks and motorcycles drive me up the fukking wall:aicmon:
It’s interesting how we don’t think of how noise affects us.

Don’t people always say that it’s good to get away from the city? It’s more peaceful? People are nicer? Generally speaking anyway.

Not saying motor vehicles are the root of all our problems but maybe we should take steps to limit them a bit.

wireless shifters?!:ohhh:

One of my co-workers got a bike with e-shifters, says it's the bee's knees. If i ever get a geared bike, I'm definitely going with an electric groupset.

Is Strava the best bike app? I’m cheap as fukk and refuse to pay for the full version. They’re offering a 30 day trial but the free version does pretty much all I need.

I’m averaging 40/50 miles per ride. Resting heart rate is between 50/55 (check first thing after waking up).

Strava is the best because of its huge userbase. I've never felt the need to go premium. Check out an app called relive too though, they got a dope livemapping feature that's fun to use.

Back on my 30mi a day shyt.

Gas prices is too high.....

Started riding to work and back home. It's gonna have to be this way for a while.

15 there 15 back.

I can take the long way back which is 25 miles. I'm spending too much in gas going back and forth.

Isn't 15 miles a lot of cycling to get to work?
