you could google the bike model from any online listing and size recommendation for your height to see if it'll suit you.

Rep pending as soon as they get it back up and running.

Can’t believe I missed this thread.

I crashed for the first time in over ten years. Luckily, I instinctively used my hands to break my fall but my palms got fukked up badly.

I’m on an involuntary no fap streak. :mjcry:
you crashed on familiar terrain?

I sometimes waffle on wearing my wrist guards, although I always wear cutoff gloves.

Yeah, it’s a trail I always used. I was fool for not wearing gloves, I usually bareback my handles.

Crazy thing is, the trail is usually empty but I set off a few hours later than usual, and I crashed trying to avoid some pedestrians. :aicmon:

I had an ominous feeling when I set off late that day.

Is Strava the best bike app? I’m cheap as fukk and refuse to pay for the full version. They’re offering a 30 day trial but the free version does pretty much all I need.

I’m averaging 40/50 miles per ride. Resting heart rate is between 50/55 (check first thing after waking up).

I thought Strava was for running. But I’ve heard good things.

Pay for the app. How much could it be? Like $10 ??

That’s like …lunch for 1 day. Lol.

Or does it cost more?

It’s 5 a month, 60 for the year. You can switch to cycle mode as well. Yeah, it’s not expensive but if it gives me all I need for free, I don’t see the reason to buy the full version. :manny:

Oh ok.

I think for $60 a year, it’s not a lot but if I’m gonna pay for that, I’d want to track all the details. So if I’m just tracking my route…I wouldn’t care.

If I was tracking watts and all that stuff, then sure.

So I think I want to buy a bicycle but since I'm tall (6'4) I am not sure if I can just buy a used one on OfferUp because it might not feel right.

Any tall guys have tips for finding the right bike? I'd rather avoid going to a store and dropping a ton of money since it's not like I'm going to be racing. It'll just be to get some exercise or commute.
I went to a local trek store and they had a machine that told me the size to go for. I’m 6’1 for reference

See I kinda want to do that at one of my local bicycle shops. But I’m gonna feel like a dikk because I’m not gonna buy from them. So it’ll be wasting their time.

Or maybe I will. I dunno man. I’m feeling impulsive. This is bullshyt. It’s just a frame and 2 wheels. All bikes should cost like $50. I mean WTF. It’s not a Tesla.

It’s good though since you start to build a relationship with them. I intended to buy my bike from that shop but this was during the shortage last year and I ended up getting a different model somewhere else but I go to the store constantly to show support plus they always look out

Depends on what you want in a bike, if you can afford it something a little more never hurts especially if you really fall in love with cycling

I went from owning zero bibs to getting Rapha, Castelli, and Assos. This is one hobby I’m doing right the first time.

Boy even splurged on the kask velegro.

I’m waiting for stock to come back in to get an Emonda or Endurance from Canyon.
