Sounds like they're changing da story up to fit modern times. Nothing about no pigs had previously been mentioned in da OG version or Farewell To The Flesh. And isn't Tony Todd in this to reprise da original role???

TO BE FAIR, Candyman is supposed to be a urban legend and oral tradition, and those constantly change throughout the times depending on who's telling it. I do admit that having Candyman's origin constantly changing, while the only consistent thing being is that he's a murderous ghost with a hook, intrigues me.
