Official Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War Thread

I bought this game and Im not sure why.
I heard there were problems in development and treyarch took over for Sledgehammer.

The graphics and animations seem to have suffered.
There arent a lot of guns or maps.
Theres a bunch of glitches with gun leveling, rankings, and even challenges not working properly.

I loaded it up and looked at my friends list.
There were 6 people playing it.....6 people on a fresh game that just came out.
There were also 12 people playing WW2 and 8 people playing Modern Warfare.
When both of those originally dropped I had a minimum of 30-35 people playing at any given time.

I played 1 game, turned it off, and havent had the urge to play it again since.
I will get around to giving it a serious try sooner or later.

Your KDs were lower on that game because it was trash for multiplayer. One of the worst multiplayer experiences in cod history imo.

That multiplayer was straight ASS. I don’t know if it was the maps, the camping or the SBMM but whenever I played it I would just get frustrated and annoyed and that never had any happened to me with any COD.

As long as it's maintained, as far as support from Infinity Ward, you're definitely better off with Modern Warfare. It feels like you're in the actual environment, the sounds & the game mechanics. The guns each have their own individual style, sound, & feel.

Unfortunately, Cold War has none of that. If you're good with an arcade style shooter that you can rush with, go with CW.

One week in, this might fukk around and be my favorite COD.

Let me preface and say before MW 2019 the last COD I played was BLOPS 1.

This game is excellence in TTK, gunfights, flow, scorestreaks, perk options and maps.

• TTK is perfect, Treyarch adding the health bar was a nice added touch.
  
• MW gun feel and animations were top notch but this game the gun engagements feel way better. Snipers are viable, handguns aren’t peashooters, and LMGs are good. Weapon progression needs to be buff, though.
  
• The flow to every map is piff, you don’t have to run forever to find a gunfight and the spawn system is good.
  
• Scorestreaks from the lower level to the highest level feel powerful, that VTOL Escort is outcold. I feel like Arnold in True Lies. Cruise missle is crazy and being able to reroll care packages is a no brainer.
  
• Perk Options are abundant, especially with the Wildcards in the mix.
  
• I know people were complaining about there being only 8 maps but come on, breh. All these maps are piff, I know people complain about the bushes on Cartel but slapping on a flashlight solves all of that. When Shoothouse came out on MW everybody was begging for that to be a 24/7 map, subjectively Cold War has three of the coldest map I played in COD, Garrison, Crossroads and Checkmate those Hardpoint matches be intense.

Bro talk that shyt man. This might be the best multiplayer in call of duty in years. I don’t see how anybody who hasn’t been playing cod since day 1 can not turn on this game and like it. This is the way multiplayer in duty should run. It’s excellent and a breath of fresh air.

This game is wild, I literally cannot play more than an hour of this at most before I lose interest or it starts to feel like a chore. I haven't felt that way about a CoD since I don't know when.

Obviously I supported it buying the Ultimate Edition, so it's not a hater thing. Like I said before, maybe it'll get better when the Season starts next month.
