Coates version of T'Challa was never 10 steps ahead. In fact Coates made it a point to show T'Challa as always being caught off guard by stuff, the supposed excuse being that he was "distracted".

In the begining with his first encounters with Zenzi and tetu he was caught off guard after that he was good, which was the first 3 issues. The real struggle was trying to get the country under control but with out the people resenting the royals, that was the hard part. Come on T’challa didn’t have all his bases covered during the final battle between them and the people?

T’Challa is literally in ONE panel

Ironically this issue probably had the best action so far of the series. T’challa himself might be in one panel, but his influence is all up in it. Got the dykes fighting for him and the rest of his royal guard bum rushing Klaw’s bum azz...he’s a king he doesn’t always have to get his hands dirty :banderas: This is him being 10 steps ahead :gladbron:
