The thing I hate most about these Black Widow Stans is that they're the ones that likely prevented the character from getting a solo film.

Marvel had plans for a solo film, but the initial response to the character was really bad. If you read old reviews of Iron Man 2 one of the things people hated the most was Black Widow. Even when the first Avengers trailers dropped people talked all kinds of shyt about Black Widow....."She looks stupid just standing there with guns to fight aliens".

Now Marvel has their shyt planned out so it'll be hard to fit a Black Widow movie onto their slate. shyt is almost as bad as the people complaining about Wasp not being the hero in Ant-Man and saying Wasp should have gotten her own movie.


I get the need to see a female led Marvel film, but these dumbasses are asking for characters that rarely carry solo stories.

Perlmutter hurt what would have been the best time for Widow film which was in the middle of Phase 2. I still wouldn't mind a movie but it's pretty unlikely at this point with Phase 3 winding down and the old players getting ready to move on.

How can you judge if she was miscast if you haven't even seen the movie? Just out of curiosity what Black actress with action movie experience would you have cast instead of Lupita?

that's the mistake we always make, everything always has to be so insular to hollywood. Look at her costar with the guns or the Dora member that had the face off with widow they look every bit the part and do we know them from somewhere? Just because Lupita is the face for African actresses doesn't mean she needed to be to be in this. She clearly looks like she just got off a bus and was put in a costume, takes you straight out of it

Nothing in the trailer shows a damn thing connected to Coates wack ass run. Damn near everything we saw was taken from the Priest and Hudlin run.
