Yeah i didn't understand that either. He was getting clowned and disrespected the whole movie, between the colonizer quip and the barking when he tried to speak. To the expression on Okoyi's face when touched T'challa's shoulder. He was essentially treated like a boy at the kids table the whole movie.

However, I think its fair to say that if Coogler didn't use Coates/Stelfreeze suit design they could have avoided a lot of issues with the action/cgi.
It would have forced them to keep the fights more grounded and just keep the fights more Civil War style.
The non suit shyt was dope tho.
