Yeah Infinity War def not beating this. Its gonna be up against Deadpool 2, Han Solo, Jurassic World 2, and Incredibles 2

Yeah, I'm feeling like Infinity War will be of better spectacle for sure and with the potential of Thanos doing some worldwide/galaxy building crushing trillness, along with the impact of some key heroes possibly getting merked, it'll be clamoured a bit more favorably initially, on that level, but impact, social awareness and long lasting appeal...I'm doubting its going to be better. I doubt IW will be as layered, but will debatably be more shock & awe entertaining tho.

Most likely. Infinity War might beat it internationally because of staggered release dates.

But domestic wise Black Panther will more than likely be the highest grossing movie of the year.

Brehs..

tried to see this early in the morning (sold out) Just got in

Watched the showing right after it (that was sold out as well)

Soon a I was leaving I saw people being turned away from the next showing......sold out as well.

After seeing this movie 3 times (twice today)

I can confidently say this is the best Marvel movie.
I can confidently say anybody dissing the casino scene/car chase or the two waterfall fights can kick rocks.
I can confidently say Killmonger is best the villain since Heath Ledger's Joker. (I'll be honest it wasn't until I saw it the 3rd time that I felt this way)
I can confidently say anybody shytting on Boseman/T'Challa can get the fukk on. Boseman CRUSHES this role. RARELY do you see a hero/actor show so many emotions like that.

Andy Serkis was great in the movie.

All the women were great. Dude playing M'Baku is going to be a star. Shoutouts to John Kani, the younger Kani and also Forest Whitakker who brought an authenticity to their performances as well.

Sterling K. Brown is an unreal actor. Damn.

I will say that the 3rd act fight could have been better. The CGI wasn't as much of a problem when watching it in 3D. I guess they ran out of cash when they used it for Wakanda.

Coogler is a living legend.

Just came back from seeing the movie.

Killmonger Pops was the real one, not Killmonger.

Killmonger Pops wanted to give Wakanda resources to black people globally to empower themselves. While Killmonger wanted black people to rule the world but black people would look at him as the world King. nikka was on some power hungry shyt

Killmonger is beyond power hungry tho. He’s using the idea his dad had and turning it on his head for selfish reasons and because he’s hurt and wants everyone to enact his vengeance for him. The dude graduated Annapolis at age 19 and went straight to MIT. The “world” didn’t take much from him. Yes he lost his dad and Wakanda turned their backs on him and he should be pissed about that, but the dude graduated the naval academy in his first damn year and went to one of the most prestigious schools in the world after that. Then chose to go the military route. He chose to get his hands dirty. And it was all because he wasn’t allowed to be with his people.

That’s beyond power hungry. In fact his shyt really really reminds me of Alec Trevelyan from Goldeneye

Also @Dr. Narcisse I’m not with all your points but I’m with enough of them lol
